Work is going very well on the Footsteps of Madmen audio treat. I'm going to start a recording session tomorrow and throughout the week to work on this seriously.

If there is a good response then I will have everything in place to continue this as a podcast.

Do you listen to podcasts? What are you listening to?

Last year I wrote a Xmas horror story called Where the Bad Ones Go. This year, I will release Chapter 1 of my in progress novella, The Footsteps of Madmen, to read and I will also make an audio version narrated by myself.

It will be free to read and listen to as my gift to you all.

Let me know what you think.

    October is the month
    When ghouls and horrors
    Roam the land
Free of chains and ancient bonds
Their hunger lasts all year round
    Until months end, when
Their prey is close at hand
    O please, O my
Let not my life be undone
    This October's end.

Is it the title, the cover, the description?

I can't speak for anyone else on here, but for me, it's sort of all three.

A good, interesting sounding title or good cover will lead me to read the description and from there maybe the first chapter.

If it's someone I'm already a fan of, publishing a new story, I will skip straight to reading the description and deciding if I want to read the story.

I usually think it's the description that gets me, if its a hooking one of my interests.
But, I think it's a mix in mix. As they say... 'you cant judge a book by it's cover'.
