1. Prolog - Tapping at the door

It was the middle of the night when Olive heard a soft tapping at her door.

"Who in the world could that be?'' she wondered.

Olive rolled out of bed, put on her glasses, grey and white spotted fuzzy robe, and slippers. Then she wandered through the dark, bumping into piles of books and stumbling on papers strewn across the floor until she found a light switch. She turned on the light, walked over to the door, and opened it.

"Mitchell!?!" Olive whispered, surprised. "What are you doing up in the middle of the night?"

"Sorry if I woke you, but I found a leaf." He whispered back.

"Let me see it," Olive said, and Mitchell handed her the large, green leaf. Then Olive moved over to her large desk and started to rummage through all the papers and containers.

"I am sure I have a magnifying glass around here somewhere," Olive said to herself, as Mitchell came out of the hallway, and sat down on a chair near Olive.

"Aha! I found it!" Olive exclaimed as she pulled out a small magnifying glass from underneath a large stack of papers. Olive sat down next to Mitchell, held the magnifying glass up to the leaf, and started to read.

"You must go to Zion National Park, where inside a hotel, called Sunny Skies, you will find a girl named Erin, with brown hair and sea-green eyes, sleeping on a small hide-a-bed couch in room 109. You must take her here as fast as you can before the evil ones come... tonight!"

"Oh no!" Mitchell worried.

"Oh, no is right!" Olive exclaimed. "You must leave at once!"

"But what about Mr. C and everyone else?"

"Don't worry about them, worry about Erin. Now get back to your room, go find some clothes and supplies." She ordered. Just then someone else knocked on the door. "Ug, who could that be?" Olive opened the door then said, "Oh!"

Zack walked into the room, his dark grey eyes looked tired and his wispy, ink-black hair was all tangled up.

"Did we wake you up?" Asked Mitchell.

"Yeah," Zack said, calmly. "All the talking woke me up."

"Sorry." Olive apologized.

"It's fine. Wow! Is that a prophecy leaf?" Zack asked, eagerly.

"Yeah." She admitted.

"What does it say?" Zack wanted to know.

"It says that there is a girl named Erin that needs saving. So Mitchell is going to save her." Olive replied.

"Cool," Zack said. "where is she?"

"At Zion National Park in a hotel called Sunny Skies," Mitchell explained.

"I can take you there," Zack informed.

"By shadow jumping?" Olive asked.

"Yeah," Zack said

"Great! Then you must go there immediately." Olive said.

"Ok, but I think me and Zack should get dressed before we leave." Mitchell insisted, looking down at his flannel pajama bottoms, and random T-shirt.

"All right, meet me back here in 10 minutes." Olive settled. Then Mitchell and Zack left to go back to their rooms to change and get supplies.

...

10 Minutes later they were all back in Olive's room.

"Are you ready to go?" Zack asked Mitchell.

"Ready. Oh," Mitchell remembered, then said to Olive. "Can you please make sure Mr. C and the others know where we went?"

"Of course. I will tell them exactly where you went." She reassured. "Now go."

Zack placed a hand on Mitchell's shoulder, and together they disappeared into the shadows. Then Olive ran out her door with the leaf, to wake the others and tell them what happened.
