4. The Arguing

Tris POV:

It's been three days since I arrived.

Tobias was released yesterday, so today we're walking, exploring. It's niceand quiet.  Suddenly, Tobias pulls me into the nearest cafe. "Tobias, what are y-" But I'm cut off.

"Tris, tell me what's wrong. You can't hide anything from me. We've been together for 7 years. So spill," It's been a long time since he has talked with so much seriouness.

"I don't want you to go back."

"I know it sounds selfish, but after what just happened.... I couldn't deal with it if you got shot again, it could be worse the next time. I.....I don't want to lose you," I said, my voice starting to crack when I talk.

"Tris...I'll be fine, I promise."

"But you don't know that!" I yell, surprising myself. "Can we go back to the hotel, please? I don't want people staring while we talk about this.

"Sure, okay," he says. He looks upset. I hate seeing him like this, but I'm the reason he looks like this.

We get to the hotel and go to our room. When we step in he goes and sits on the bed, so I sit next to him. He looks at me, waiting for me to ontinue.

"What if.....*sigh* what if you go back, and I never see you again?"

"Tris, that's not gonna happen."

"But it could! That's what I'm trying to tell you, you don't know what could happen," I'm crying now, no that's not the word, I'm sobbing. My body racks as I try to breathe.

I feel his arms wrap around me, holding me in his warm embrace.

"Tris, I love you. I wish you would have talked to me about this sooner though, like when I asked maybe? Otherwise, we would be sightseeing instead of arguing right now," he sighs. "I just want to spend what little time I have, before I go back, with you Tris. Being a normal couple, not sitting here in our hotel room."

"I know, I'm sorry. I would rather be sightseeing than arguing too, but at least now we can have a movie night?" I ask hoping to lighten the mood. "We could order room service, too," he smiles, and I know that I've made him happier than he's been since being here.

We order room service, pick out some movies, and cuddle while we wait for the food. As if on cue, there's a knock on the door, but neither of us wants to get up. Eventually, Tobias realizes that I'm not moving. AT ALL. He gets up with a grunt and opens the door. After a minute I hear a quiet 'thank you' and Toby walks back in the bedroom with the food in  his hands. He smiles at me as he sets the food in front of us.

"What movie are we going to watch first?" I aks him.

"Your choice."

"Ummm......The Fault in our Start?"

"Really, Tris?"

"Yep," I say, smiling and popping the 'p'.

"Ok," he sighs, popping in the movie. "But next we're watching The Fast and the Furious 4."
