11. Ch 11

< Courtney POV >

Anger. Stunned. Jealousy. Wrath. All of those emotions swirled up inside of me as I watched my sister and ex-boyfriend make out. This is WAR.

“Court! Where are you going?!” Jace called after me as I stormed over to those roaches I wanted to stomp on. It was like someone else was controlling my body and I was just watching it happened.

Both my hands sliced down the middle and seperate the two of them with great force. Alexis was basically thrown on top of the car’s hood and Ryan tripped and fell backwards. They both looked at me with astonishment and dare I say, a hint of frightment.

“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!” I hissed at the both of them. I basically dug my fingers in my sides and glared at them. Ryan looked down at his worn out, black Converse. His face was hid from me but I can tell he’s blushing.

“Um, we were busy. You have no place here,” Alexis sneered at me, sliding off the hood. She straightened her halter tops for flipped her loose curls behind her. She rolled her eyes at me and turned her attention on Ryan. “We’re still in for our date?”

Ryan nodded staying mute. That’s all I remember before I blacked out. My fist connected to Alexis’s jaw. All those years of anger towards my sister has reached its max, and now I’m ready to get even. She toppled backwards, taken back by my sudden blow. Before she could make a hit, I yanked on her hair and pulled her down, hit after hit. I didn’t care where I was hitting her, I didn’t care if I was hurting her. I wanted to get even.

“COURTNEY STOP!” A voice hollered at me. I felt strong hands grip my wrist before I landed another blow on Alexis, yanking me back. I pulled my wrist back and shoved whoever was trying to keep me from mauling my sister. My push wasn’t enough and strong arms wrapped around my waist basically lifting me up into the sky.

“COURTNEY GOD DAMN IT CUT IT OUT!” Jace screamed. He was the one who’s holding me, pulling me away from Alexis.

“NO GET OFF ME! THAT BITCH DESERVES IT ALL!! I HATE YOU ALEXIS! YOU’RE THE WORST! ALL OUR LIFE YOU MADE ME MISERABLE!!!” I hollered, kicking and bucking. Jace still wouldn’t let me go.

Alexis, on the ground, weakly pushed herself up, spitting blood out. She glared at me. Ryan went to help her, which made me even more angry. I bit the crap out of Jace’s arm. He curses and released me. I sprinted towards Ryan, who froze in place once he saw me.

“COURT THAT’S ENOUGH!” Jace was right in front of me. I ran straight into his arms, both of us tumbling down. He hugged me and refused to let me go despite my fighting and screaming.

“MISS DAVIS WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?!?!” Principal Mack’s voice rung through my ears. Feet moving around us was becoming more clear through the mist of my wrath. I felt my adrenaline waning, my vision becoming clear.

I’m in huge trouble now.

“Miss Alexis are you okay?! Who did this to you?!” Principal Mack bent down and helped Ryan pick Alexis up off her feet. Of course. I look like the bad guy and she gets all the glory. It’s always been like that.

Alexis, bruises up and blood dripping down from the corner of her mouth, eyed me. “I was attacked by an unknown man. Courtney was trying to help. It was of little too late though.”

Principal Mack looked over at Jace and me. He raised an eyebrow. “Courtney, is this the truth?”

“Yes sir it is. Courtney is a bit shaken up because the attack was so quick and out of the blue. I believe it was a man who had no rights in school ground. He left as soon as you I arrived,” Jace spoke up. He gripped my arms tightly, telling me to keep quiet.

Principal Mack contemplated on this. He sighed heavily and clipply nodded at Jace. “Very well. You two men take these ladies to the infirmary. I’m going to have a talk with security. Miss Alexis, I’m sorry for this assault. We will find out whoever did this.”

Alexis shrugged, wincing. “It’s fine. They didn’t do any real damage. If I see this man again I will call the cops.”

Principal Mack nodded. “If this what you wish to do, I will respect it. Now please, you and your sister head to the infirmary.”

With that, Principal Mack walked away, but a few students lingered around. Alexis eyed them all. “Tell anyone the truth or post a video of this anywhere, and I will damaged all your lives permanently,” she said coldly. The students walked away quickly. Ryan wrapped his arm around her shoulders and helped her to the school.

“Don’t,” Jace said to me. I didn’t noticed I was walking towards them. This was stupid. Reality hit me like a ton of bricks and I felt embarrassed, but not that bad. I did beat my sister up, but I don’t necessarily regret it. I’m more concerned on what that’s going to do to my reputation and my running in that essay. I turned to Jace and burst into a sob. He wrapped his arms around me and cradled me.

“I hate this. I hate myself. I hate Alexis. I FUCKING hate Ryan,” I blubbered. Jace rubbed my back. I felt so drained and tired. I just want the weekend to come so I can isolate myself in homework and peacefulness.

“I got you Court,” Jace whispered. He kissed the top of my head and pulled me in closer. I wrapped my arms around his waist and inhaled his comforting cologne.

The Perfect Courtney isn’t so perfect anymore.
