7. Chapter Six: Wounded

Chapter Six: Wounded

I was walking towards the unknown spaces...

The place was flooded with an ankle length water that reflected me like a mirror. It was like a world made of water and the whole place was like the parallel world that are destined to never meets between the sky and water.

And soon the sky turned blue and like a mirror, the water followed with the beautiful color from above. A lovely sight, a pure blue sky...

However, a moment's passed and the whole space turned black. I can't see anything anymore--

I gasped for air when I had a glimpse of reality. I sat back up and panted but the pain in my belly had cut my breath and made me coughed out over the choking pain. Upon looking at my wound, I can see how it was tended and covered up with a piece of cloth as I found myself somewhere familiar.

This was my room in Creed's flat. But how? I tried to think for further information but I just found myself empty of thoughts and clue about anything that I had in mind.

But upon brainstorming about this, my room door opened and two figure of men came entering. I watched how the shadows come close into the door way and there, I had the hint of recognition. It was Creed who first fit himself in and next to him was Eraldy who has the slightest and calmest smile among all the other Omegians I met.

"How are you, Lucrylia?" Eraldy asked.

"I think I'm still hurt." I honestly responded.

Creed nodded and went near. "I'll be removing your bandage. Try to bare with the pain since the blood had dried and gotten stuck to it." He said. "Don't worry, once this is over, Eraldy will restore your skin back to its fairness." He assured.

I just gave a little stare and bit my lower lip as I prepared myself for the pain Creed had warned me that I would feel.

He gently lies me down on the bed and took out a knife while his eyes were fixed to mine. It somehow made me feel unease but at the same time I can feel his reassurance so I rather trust him than letting myself lead to nowhere.

His eyes escaped from my stare as it fixed itself over the bandage that covered the wound in my belly. And with that, I felt the cold knife touched my skin making me flinch in surprise. Quickly he removed the knife from my skin and looked at me again.

"Does it hurt?" He asked.

I shook my head. "I'm sorry, I was just surprised." I said.

"Okay. I'll be careful with this then." He assured again as I felt the blade touched the side of my belly. I closed my eyes and tried to endure the pain. But then I realized that its not the pain that I was focused on baring, it was the weird feeling that made me uncomfortable every time a part of his hand touches a skin from my belly. I could feel myself getting electrified not literally, but sensationally. It was really making me feel tickled and ashamed while my heartbeat pumps so quick within my chest like a wild horse running nonstop on the tracks.

I was partly terrified over the new sensation that I feel. Like how he promised gentleness from cutting my bandage, I couldn't feel pain but I felt something weirder.

When he managed to cut the bandage, he slowly pulled it out of my skin, but the sticky blood was a bit tricky. It made me feel pain so I shut my eyes tighter.

"You alright?" Creed asked.

"Yes... I think I could still bare it, master." I replied still eyes shut close.

"Then just a little more." He said back and gently pulled the bandage again using the knife to separate the sticky blood from the bandage. "Just a little more." He said again, more like for himself as he pulled the bandage, taking almost a lot of time until my body was barely exposing itself.

It was just now that I realized that I am half naked while facing these men. I blush and turned towards the ceiling to avoid the eyes that stares at me.

"Don't be embarrassed. You have a very perfect body, Lucrylia." Eraldy suddenly spoke that made the blush on my face ripen.

"Don't worry about it, you still have a chance to grow a little more. You're just sixteen anyway." Creed added.

"I'm deeply embarrassed. Please heal me so that I could at least put some clothes on." I suggested.

Eraldy chuckles. "My, my, I didn't know girls this age would be so adorable." He teased and sat beside my bed as he brushed my hair away from my face then it slid going down to my wounded belly. "May God bless you." He smiled lightly and again his hand shone as I felt the warm and ease fixed all the pain I felt on my body.

And soon the warmth disappeared and the only feeling I felt was the hand that Eraldy leaned on my stomach.

"How do you feel now, Lucrylia?" He asked.

"I feel normal now, thanks." I replied and gave a smile.

"I'm glad to help." He said. "If only I was here yesterday, I might be able to heal you quickly and your suffering might've lessen. I'm sorry for not being here when you needed me so much." He said.

"You don't have to apologize about that anymore. Besides, I'm not anyone's responsibility that's why I don't particularly don't mind at all."

"You're so nice, Lucrylia. That would be bad." Eraldy said seriously.

"Huh?" I looked at him bewildered.

"I need to ask you something." Creed called that made both me and Eraldy looked at him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Why did you save him?" He asked straightly.

I was a bit taken aback by the question as I bit my lower lip and felt my hand crumpling into a fist.

"Uh... I was... Just--"

"Once the others find out what you did, they might punish you for showing mercy to the enemy." Creed said.

"But he's merely a man... A person incapable of any power." I said back. "They're all merely human of no miracle."

"They are not incapable men. They are criminals from Prison E. They are man who were dead ever since they were penalized of lifetime prison in this place. And that simply means that they are men with capable talents." Creed replied.

"But does that add the fact that they are weaker." I said.

"Our miracle is our only advantage. And their advantages? Their experience and skills. They've been molded to kill. And now they're aiming at us."

"I can't kill a man without any power." I said.

"Then try not to meet them on the street because surely, they will kill you."

"Master..." I uttered.

"That man you saved..." Creed began. "He was the son of Prison E's leader."

"What exactly is this Prison E?" I asked.

"Prison E is one of the largest city up north. Although they are all humans up there, you can't change the fact that they are all fully armed and wielded with special weapons that can break the strongest bariers." He sighed. "They are the one who recruit other powerless beings and the ones who wants to annihilate us, Omegians."

"I'm sorry, I still don't have a heart to hurt any powerless men."

"It must be because you still don't understand their dangers even if you nearly died yourself." Creed turned towards the locker and grabbed a piece of cloth and threw it towards my direction. "You seem to forget putting some cover on." He said.

Feeling my blush, I quickly sat up and wore the shirt on. "I forgot because you've been distracting me." I reasoned out looking down.

Eraldy laughed and patted my head. "Teens really are so adorable. I even thought I can take better care of you than Creed." He said.

"Huh?" I looked at him with wonder as I wrinkledy forehead.

"You're starting up again, Eraldy." Creed said.

Eraldy chuckled again and stood up walking towards the doorway out of my room. "I just think the girl deserves better than your care here." Then he turned towards me and smiled. "I'll be going now then, Lucrylia." He said and closed the door, leaving me and Creed in silence.

"Beware of Eraldy. He's not the light hearted person that you think, he's dangerous than what you'd ever imagined." After that, he went towards the doorway and left too.

***Lucia's Journal***

After three years of taking care over Lucrylia, I came to realize how I came to love Lianna's child. She was playful and such a very caring child. But such an agile child young Lucrylia have become that I had to give a lot of restrictions about her whereabouts.

She always makes me worried everytime she leaves the house without asking me permission. It always made my heart thump so hard as I roam around the street to find her with the fear traced on my face.

But when I found her playing with the neighborhood, I felt the fear subbed into an unexplainable relief and partly of anger. I would dash towards her and drag her back to the house as I punish her for her mistakes. Whether she cried or not, I knew I instilled fear within her that she learned how to stay still at home.

Until she turned out to be isolated. I felt sorry for the child, but I just wanted to protect and descipline her. She's now my responsibility and I don't want her to get hurt.

Lucrylia, if you're reading this journal I hope you'd get to understand why I've turned into such a parent for you. I just don't want to lose you like how we lost Lianna. I want you to stay with me till the very end.
