A poetry collection about feeling misplaced.

9. Survival

What a wonderful view that lays before me,

The waves greet the shore,

I am inclined to lock my eyes on the sight,

But I’ve seen it a thousand times before,

So I bury myself in the words on the page,

Though I’ve read them a million times,

They always mean something different,

And they always make me smile,

You may find me anti-social,

Caught in the web of complex lines,

But as people have to drink water,

I simply read to survive
