Author's note

I accidentally deleted the last one so here's the sequel again.

18. Monstrous

When Elsa reached the underworld, she was able to find the cliff of light that Daniel had pushed Jessica off of. She then jumped down into the blackness. She lit a torch and began looking for Jessica. However, she sensed movement out of the corner of her eye. She turned quickly, but there was no one there. Then she heard a voice whisper, “She’ll come for you if she sees you. Run and hide.”

Elsa turned and found a teenage girl, with brown hair and blue eyes.

“Hey there,” Elsa said. “What’s your name? What are you doing down here?”

“My name’s Tessa. I’m trapped down here. Have been for years. So is she. I don’t know why you came down here, but it’s dangerous. She’s changed a lot, the queen. The king pushed her down here, and when she was able to get up and moving, she changed. You wouldn’t recognize her now.”

“She’s my daughter. I came to save her.”

“Oh. Well...wait, are you a queen?”

Tessa gasped and curtsied. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know. But I would be careful down here. I’ll lead you around, so that we can both avoid her as much as possible.”

“How can I save her if I’m avoiding her?”

“You can’t save her. She’s far too gone. Come on. I might as well show you what she looks like. Then you can rest in peace, as much as one can rest in peace knowing their daughter’s a monster.”

“Jessica isn’t a monster!”
“Shhh! Please, Your Majesty, she’ll hear you!”

“My daughter’s not a monster,” Elsa whispered.

“She is now. Come on.”

Tessa led Elsa to a cave built in the cliffs. There was a flickering light coming from it. The girl peeked inside and turning to Elsa, she nodded. “She’s in there,” the girl whispered.  Elsa peeked around the wall, and her heart nearly stopped.

Jessica was in there, but she was different. Half her face was melted, making it disfigured. Her light blue dress was torn on the sleeves and at the hem. She was sitting by the fire, watching the flames. Her hair was dirty, cascading down her back.

Elsa fell, the girl catching her. Tessa pulled her back, away from the opening for the cave. Then she whispered, “We must go, Your Majesty.”

Then Tessa led Elsa away, taking her into the shadows.

“I never thought she’d turn out like that. I’ll never forget her looking like that now.”

“I’m sorry, your Majesty. But she’s gone.”
“Maybe not. I have an idea.”

They both went back to the opening of the cave. Then Elsa stood in the entrance.

“Jessica,” Elsa said to her. Jessica turned toward Elsa.

“Your Majesty, what are you doing?” Tessa asked in a hushed voice.

“Jessica, it’s Mom. Remember me?”

Jessica stared at Elsa.

She charged, no sound escaping her lips.

Elsa immediately rushed backward and began running. It wasn’t easy, as Jessica was young and had a lot of energy, but for the queen of Arendelle, it was hard. She kept running, despite the fact that Jess was catching up.

Elsa stumbled and fell. Then Jessica took her by the wrists and dragged her into her cave. Elsa fought hard, but she wasn’t as strong as Jessica. Then, after putting her down, Jessica rushed to a huge boulder behind a cave wall and rolled it over the opening, sealing them both in.

Jessica was very strong, and she had turned from immortal villain to immortal monster. Elsa knew.

It was time to kill Jessica.
