mythological creatures

for people who love mythology! in this story, i have tried to include many types of mythical creatures and cool facts about them.
If there is any mythical creatures that i have missed out then please ask me to put it in my book

7. Dragons

A dragon one of the world's most popular mythical creature which is represented in many forms. They are, in some fairy tales, as long, green, fire breathing, winged reptile who guards treasure. The word 'dragon' comes from the Greek word 'draconta' which means to watch. The Greeks thought dragons as fearsome beasts who guarded valuable items. This is also how many cultures see dragons and also links back to the fairy tale version of them.

Unlike certain creatures in mythology, dragons are not seen to have specific personalities. Dragons could be wise, knowledgeable creatures, they can be proud and protective, they can be sneaky and sly, they can be dangerous, they can be whatever.

In most dragon beliefs, dragons are shown as elusive, rare creatures. There are never many of them

Dragons were considered real. In some places dragons were worshipped, but in some places they were feared.

It seems normal to assume that dragons can be with or without wings, and that the dragons with wings can fly and others can't. However, it is said that even the dragons without wings can still fly.

Dragon appearances are almost always similar, long snout, sneaky eyes, horns and claws. When dinosaur bones were discovered, people thought that they belonged to dragons.

Dragons are already very overkill in some perspectives, but this is mythology so of course there are myths of some dragons having magic as well as flying and amazing defence.

Dragon can be known to live in all four elements. Water, earth, air and fire.

Dragons are my absolute favourite mythical beast and i have learned lots about them. That is why this chapter is so long.
