4. Cerberus

According to Greek mythology, Cerberus is a large, three headed dog who guards the gates to the underworld. It is said that his three heads represent the past, present and the future. Some people also say that his three heads are made to represent birth, youth and old age.

The name "Cerberus" comes from the Greek word "kerberous" which means spotted.

Cerberus's most powerful weapon is his stare which could turn anyone to stone. As if that wasn't enough, it is said that his bite is also poisonous.
