16. The Woman With A Broken Spirit

They all meet up again that evening to go to a private dinner. They all dress to kill, looking like they had just walked out of a magazine.

A live band played Caribbean tunes, everyone sit on a patio, fascinated with the atmosphere. Getting ready to exchange feeble words, Tia looks down at her phone. She has two missed calls, and a message.

The text read, “I’m back in town.” Tia body tenses, feeling a distressed energy take over her. Everyone is so engaged in the company of each other they aren’t even noticing Tia not being engaged in the moment. She bites her lip, tapping on the table. She needs something to take the edge off, reaching for a tray of shots in the middle of the table. Before she knew it, she had already took five shots back to back, trying to numb herself.

Tia figures if she painted a picture for people, they would accept that, even if it wasn’t her. She was a broken soul, a collector of secrets. Though she was around friends, family it disgusted her. It disgusted her how much of a lie everyone was willing to live for and protect. She never wanted to manipulate those around her, but in her despair she found an escape. She saw that was the only way to get close to people.

And her precious sister, she hated her with a passion. Riah was so used to living in the clouds, she had a false sense of security. Riah was the easiest to fool of them all, with her child like heart, her innocence. The blood would rush through Tia’s veins every time she would be near her, the envy that consumed her soul.

Kevin looks over at the distant Tia, he not only loved her but he cared for her deeply. He somehow could feel her pain, knowing she wasn’t really the woman she portrayed to the outside world. She didn’t know Kevin could see right through her, ripping all of her walls down. With Kevin she definitely tried to keep him out, the way he touched her body and her soul. She secretly wanted to push him away, Tia hated the thought someone loving her for the fucked up individual she actually was. Everyone expected Tia to be moody, belligerent and unpredictable.

Tia was unique because she never truly revealed her deepest emotions to certain situations. Even now at the dinner, surrounded by the blind. She needed something stronger, and being devious, sex, or alcohol wasn’t going to fix her. Her body was now immune to the alcohol and meaningless sex.

Tia lived in pain, trying to escape her reality day by day. No matter what she did to run from her past it always caught up with her. Chugging her huge Long Island, she snapped out of her dark abyss, slowly joining the crowd. Now she could hear the music more clearly, smiling. Though to those on the outside would’ve thought she was smiling because she happy to be with family, but in reality she was smiling at the fact of how fucked up she truly was.

Looking at Tia and Shaun bond she rolled her eyes. Kevin notices her arrogant and pompous attitude, “Tia, baby are you ready to go? Let’s go out.”

Without even touching her food, she eagerly scoots her chair away from the table, saying goodbye to her sister and Shaun. Earlier that day Kevin had found a secret waterfall he wanted to take her to.

Tia begins to sober up, as the watered down cheap liquor had no strong effect on her. “Baby, where are we going?”

Kevin pulled her closely into his warm chest, kissing her on the forehead, “I know you need this.”

He rented a boat, taking her out into the sea, nearing more palm trees and a lush landscape. It wasn’t even ten minutes away from their retreat. Tia wakes up fully, being set on fire by the glow of the moon. Looking up at the stars for the first time since they’d arrived, she couldn’t believe how enticing the night sky was.

Kevin gets out of the boat, and tie it to the dock, filled with a deep fervor to truly satisfy Tia and show her how he felt for her. They walk to a forest like entrance, hearing the calm sound of the ocean play a beautiful tune. The magical rainforest trapped them there in all of its wonder and delight.

The void that Tia had felt was slowly closing as she was captivating by the heavenly sight. Tia’s words couldn’t escape her mouth fast enough before Kevin pressed his lips firmly into hers. Tia couldn’t catch her breath, the moment intensified quickly, while he led her to the main attraction. There were three large waterfalls surrounded by a large boulder. There was a small opening to enter into the stream of falling water, smaller rocks enclosed the surface in a circular loop. The view was breathtaking, almost looking like The Garden of Eden, if one had ever witnessed such a place.

This strange potent feeling crept inside of Tia, taking over her sadness and anger turning the poison she felt into an elixir. She was afraid of him, and wished to know what did he want from her. He slides one strap off her dress down, circling around her as her bare shoulder glanced at him. Her body quivered, and it wasn’t due to a coldness. Kevin was sizing her up backing the now timid Tia into a corner, the true Tia. She was vulnerable, exposed and unguarded.

His energy was of a God’s, judging her spirit. He stood behind her, grabbing her womb, planting little kisses on her neck and shoulder. Tia’s hair was in a high bun, taking her hair down, her long hair fell along side of her shoulders, smoothly falling into place at the small of her back. He then slowly pushed the other strap down, making her black gown slip to where her collarbone and top of her breasts were exposed.

She quickly grabbed her dress, pressing it stiffly unto her exposed skin. Kevin had saw net naked numerous of times, but this time it was different. She really felt truly bare, and untouched. She’d felt all sort of hands take advantage of her body, causing her to become numb and give in into men’s dark fantasies. Kevin still behind her opened her arms, causing the simple piece of cloth that protected her fall to her knees.

Kevin then turned Tia around to face him. He studied her brown features, admiring her red matte lipstick and extended nipples. This was Tia in a new light, he’d never saw this woman a day in his life. She was pure, perfection.

Tia stuttered, “Kevin, I....I....I just can’t do this with you, right here right now.”

Kevin still silent, sculpted her body and spirit within his mind, seeing her so fragile did something to him.

Tia was now worried, seeing Kevin wasn’t going to withdraw in his efforts, as he gently touched her waist, breathing into her throbbing neck.
