3. Team 2

“Copy that.” Mendez, aka ICU, says into the microphone before speaking to his comrades. “We have a go. Five hostiles confirmed. Two on the roof, two by the water and one at the entrance.”

“What's the target, ICU?” Linda, aka Killshot, asks as she looks through her scope. Moving it slightly downwards, she sees the one at the main entrance with a large caliber heavy machine gun seated on a tripod stand that is capable of doing mass damage and destruction. Moving it slightly upwards and the two on the roof enters her scope view. Like her, they are in a lying position with their body towards the ground and their faces facing them. “Spotter and sniper on the roof. Heavy weapons at the main entrance. How should we proceed?”

“It's your call, Killshot. Wind speed and direction for all; heavy, spotter and sniper: 3 meters, northeast. Range: 2 clicks. How are things on your end, O2?” Mendez asks.

“Entering hostile area. Two hostiles sighted by the water. They appear to be engaging in petty conversation. Standing by to engage them, ICU.” Ben, aka O2, says as he approaches the pier where the two are, one with a MP-5 submachine gun in one hand and a lighted cigarette in the other and the second with an AK-47 assault rifle sling across his chest.

“O2, you have a go.” Mendez commands.

“SNIPER!” the one on the roof shouts just as Linda's HTR 2000 rifle fires a .338 lapua magnum round into the forehead of the one at the main entrance, taking him out instantly. Ben quickly springs into action, jumping out of the water to grab one of them (the one closest to him) while they were distracted by the sudden shout from their own team. As he grabs one of them, his hand covering the nose and mouth of his victim, he uses his other hand to take out a pistol, a SIG Sauer p226, firing a few rounds into his other victim before snapping off the head of his first victim.

A round hits just slightly to the left of Linda and she knows that if this shot doesn't hit, she would be in the same state as the heavy weapons that she had just killed. Her finger pulls on the trigger firing off a round and just as she did so, she sees a flash from the other sniper, firing a round off like herself. She bit her lower lip as how she would normally do when she's unsure if the shot she had taken would be accurate. For a moment, there was no movement that she can see with or without the scope. Then, there was the sound of bullet piercing through skin and she braced herself for the pain that would usually follow. There was none. Instead, she feels movement beside her like something that was struggling to catch its breath with a soft rasping of the breath that comes with it. Fearing the worst, she crawls slowly backwards into cover without her stomach moving away from the ground even once, at the same time, tugging along her injured partner.

“Killshot to HQ! Man down! Man down! We need medic evac asap.” Linda shouts into her communications set.

“Medic has been dispatched. Standby for heli evac. ETA twenty minutes out.” Russell, base command, codename 'Wolf' informs her.

“Team two reporting. Beta spotted. Standing by at Bravo location.” Ben reports in.
