A poem about smiling on the outside when your hurting on the outside.
"look like an innocent flower, but be like the snake that hides underneath"- Macbeth

1. Smile

I smile on the outside

For everyone to see,

Can’t you tell I’m lying?

Its as easy as can be.

Just put all the feelings

Into a concrete box

Lock them up and throw away

The key, suffocates the lot.

Curve up the side of your mouth!

Don’t ever let it down

If asked “Are you ok?”

Lie, they’ll never catch you out

Suppress the burning fire

Battle through the chocking smoke

Bury all the monsters

And quell the boiling throat

I smile on the outside

So nobody will see

Can’t you see I’m hiding?

From actually showing me.
