Ellison got out of the patrol car.

He saw Alan Jefferies, the Deputy Patrol Officer, shake his head in sorrow.

"What happened?", Ellison asked him.

"A girl was attacked, Boss by a shark. It was as massive as the others", he answered him. He sipped some warm coffee while Danielle Carters, the Coroner, arrived on the scene. She had long, black hair, brown eyes, and petite. Suddenly she spoke. "The victim was Carolina Sanchez. She was eighteen. She was a cheerleader at Shark Bay High School. She was a member of the American Swimming Team. Her parents speak Spanish". Alan Jeffries nodded. "And now...", he begun to say before a white 2008 van arrived. "That's her parents now", Ellison said. And then they waited for them to arrive to break the bad news to them.

"Lo que le sucedió a Carolina?", Andrea Sanchez asked.

"Ella era nadar solo. Y ella fue mordido por un tiburón, la Sra. Sanchez", Ellison answered. She gasped in shock. She looked at her husband, Enzo Sanchez. "A shark! I don't know why there's one here", he said to him. "She died from blood loss", Danielle Carters said. He nodded. "Nuestra hija murió de pérdida de sangre, cariño", he said to his wife. She cried. Then she stared at the deep water, and prayed to God.

Alan Jefferies gazed at the marina. Fishermen were casting out their rods in their hands. They were in their ships, and boats, as they set sail towards the outer reaches of the pier. He took his time to write down the reports on a white pad with a pen, as the grief counsellors arrived to look after the Sanchez family.
