Candle breathed in the normal, New York air.

He hissed at a spider that was in black rafters of the bedroom. "It's time to go to meet mother", she said. The cat nodded its head, then jumped onto Ellie's bed. She saw Edward had disappeared; she was relieved. By the time she knew what was happening, she checked her digital clock which was on the brown drawer to her left; to the right was red curtains. It read: 5:09 PM. I'm early for dinner, she thought to herself. She was concerned about her mother yelling at her daughter for being away; she was thinking a lot of things about life, death, and all of the in-between magical tour in the Elf King's Kingdom. "It's going to be a long night, Candle; it's going to be...something magical. But I will have to sleep for an hour or so before dinner. Mother will not dream of my dreams". And she patted the cat. Then she heard the sound of footsteps coming down the thin hallway. Ellie's mother smiled at her. "Where were you, Ellie? I was so concerned that I rang your father. And he was too busy". Ellie smiled. "I was with my new friends, Mom", was all she said. And she hugger her, while Candle rested on one of the chairs...and also dreamed of elves...and well as other creatures who weren't real at all.
