April 2016

In 2016 I participated in NaPoWriMo (or in my case GloPoWriMo) and this is my (quite delayed) poems.

There are no common theme connecting the poems, they just are.

4. Willow Creek

Waking up at sunset

When other people go to sleep

The monsters start to roam

And spread fear in Willow Creek

Howling at the moon

Growing cannies, growing claws

Hairy creatures run

In the streets on four paws

A woman screams

Then teeth go through her flesh

While a man-like beast

Drinks the blood so red and fresh

Sirens lure the men

To walk out into the sea

They promise love and riches

Like no one else will ever see

But under water waits

Only the Kiss of Death

And hungry sirens will

Paint the waters red

On rooftops dance the witches

With their long and curly hair

Their voices rise

And caries through the air

In every household shiver

Women, men, and child

They fear the creature

That in the night runs wild

But sleeping sound at sunset

When other people wake from their sleep

The monsters once again

Have left the streets of Willow Creek
