A Midsumer Night Joy

Ten years ago Huntress ran away from the love of her life with the help of his maker. She calls or writes letters back to him to see how everything is where she left and to give updats. She ran away to have a child thinking that her love might not want her to have the child. Huntress finds out about everything that her love has been doing to get her back and finds that she has to come back home to save his life.

Natalie, Huntress child, longs to see her father. Never having met him and only knowing that her mother left him long before she was born not knowing why. As her mother forces them to move to someplace away from the hot sun in Flordia and the beach to some landlocked place in the middle of nowhere. Natalie gets to see her father for the first time in her life.

8. Natile

In one hour my mom went from yelling to hugging. She doesn't like doing any of those things. In fact, I don't even remember one time where my mom had yelled at me. She wasn't the kind of person to hug someone as well. The one thing I was curious about was what he was calling her. Her name wasn't Huntress it was Susanne.

"But let's not talk about that yet. I think we should- Yes Natile?" She asked mid-sentence. I hated when she did things like that. But she knew that it got on my nerves so she liked to do it.

"Mom. Why is he calling you Huntress?" I asked her. She looked sad and took my hand to pull me with her. She was going to have to tell me about mates in the real world and tell me how to change age.

"Well, sweety that is what he knows me by. You know me as one name and he knows me as another. Both of you don't know my true name and until I feel that right time you both will not know. And Sweety, when you are older I will answer those questions or when you find one of your own. Just know you are still half human," She spoke looking at no one

"I guess I should show you where you will be sleeping then Natile," Aldred said and pulled me up from the couch. I took a look at Aldred for one and saw what he truly looked like. He seemed old, like really old. The way he walked and the way he talked to others, he just gave off the feeling of being old. "Will you stop looking at me? I am not someone to look up to. I have done my fair share of deeds," He said smiling and walking into a hall. I could see my mom out of the corner of my eye.

In my head, I could hear her say, " He's a big baby. He likes you in a caregiver way,"  she added when I felt a blush come on to my face. I could hear that my mom had chuckled at me. I sent her a glare before looking back at Aldred. He paused in the middle of the hallway and looked at my mother with a weird look. She nodded and shut the door to the hallway. I heard mumbling on there side of the door but that was really it. Aldred was watching me closely.

"What are you doing?" I asked him trying to remove his hand from mine. He was watching me struggle and thinking that he could take me on as if I was under his wing.

I stood there staring at me for a moment longer before he smiled. "You are scared. And don't try to tell me I am wrong. I can smell it. That is also something you will have to work on. Masking your smell, so others don't know what you are feeling. It's why you have never heard your mother yell. She has not told anyone to be me of you and I know that you would like some answers. Answers that are not mine to give. So please stop looking up to me. If you knew half the things I have done just to be standing here right now in front of you, it would be worst then the fact that while we have been talking I have backed you into a corner and now you would be dead," He spoke lightly and I swallowed the bile that rose in my throat from fear. He smiled and opened a door to the side of me. "Your room," He spoke and turned me around.

My room wasn't filled with color like the one I had back at home. Here it was just one color in different shades. I had gotten a room filled with the color purple and looked more like a room for an angel of death. "It was the room your mother had slept in when she wasn't in your father's bed," He said over my shoulder looking around. "She did a good job at decoration. I didn't know she was Medevil," He said with a knowing looking.

"That's because I am not. Try a little before that time. Just the end of Renaissance," My mom popped her head into the hall and spoke. She was wearing a smile and holding hands with my dad. I was going to have to get used to calling him, dad. "Don't bother he and you will get together all too fast," She said and everyone looked at her to me and back.

"Come on. You have to mind readers in this house now. We are bound to talk with our thoughts and our words."  My mother smiled at my words while she thought about something she would like do to with my dad. "Mom, please guard your thoughts. I don't want to know that stuff," I said and looked away as if that was going to make them go away. I heard her laugh before pulling them both into a room and shutting the door. More talking about this bigger issue but no one would say anything to me about it.
