A Beautiful Exhaustion

This will be a collection of poetry I've written over the past year

9. Cat-Call

Your unrecognizable eyes stare back

What was there before, you now lack

A smile that isn't quite the same

Trying not to think of who's to blame

Ever since then your smile isn't as bright

He's the same one who stole your light

At the slightest touch of a hand you wince

This evil man, he tainted your innocence

And now there's a rattle in your soft voice

He took what he wanted, you had no choice

You are now left so fragile and so very small

Now tears fill your eyes with every cat-call
