7. Confusion

"What do you mean that you weren't the only one up here?" I asked. I was so confused. How was he not the only other one up here? Other than him, there was only Brian. "I thought it was only you and Brian up here. Unless..." I zoned off.

No. No he couldn't. Brian loved us too much to try and hurt himself. There had to be someone else. Someone powerful. Someone who knows what they're doing. "Kale who was up here with you? And tell me the truth!"

Kale looked around, like he was making sure there was no one listening, and spoke. "It was this weird woman. She had this... this... crown type thing. She was wearing a skirt type thing and her top was like a coconut bikini piece. It was weird. And she had incredibly sharp teeth. I don't think she was human," Kale kept turning around and looking at the window like he was expecting something. "She told me her name was Queen Akasha. Whatever type of name that is."

"Queen Akasha? Queen Akasha?!" Kale nodded his head before I continued. "No way. She's one of the most powerful vampires in history, but someone had to of let her loose." Queen Akasha was a legend. It was told that she could only be beaten by one vampire and one vampire only. Only one problem. Who was that vampire? Could it be me? Could it be Brian? Could it be Kale? Whoever it is, she tried to come after and destroy.

Someone had to of let her out. And it has to be one of us. Well one of them. "It's one of you two." I spat out before thinking.

"What?" Kale screamed. "What are you trying to accuse me of?"

My bad. If he was really a vampire I just put him on his bad side, and I don't need to do that. 'Me?' but I didn't accuse anyone. Especially just him. He was definitely hiding something. Either it was Kale or it was Brian, but either way I need to get to the bottom of it. Find the person who's supposed to of let her out of her statue. The one who's supposed to fall in love with her and then kill her. It can't be me for one. "It has to be one of you. Okay look I'll tell you what I know about Queen Akasha, but that's it. I can't explain the impossible; if you know what I mean."

"Sarah, you don't have to do this. You don't have to explain something that wasn't caused by you, baby girl," came a whisper. Brain may have been almost killed, but us vampires are quick healers. Brian must really have some great powers if he lived through that stab. Vampires are known to be killed by silver and light, but somehow Brian didn't die.

"Well let's start at the beginning. Queen Akasha was some how "killed" but not killed. If you know what I mean. Her soul was transferred over to a statue along with her husband. These statues sat in a statue formed chair in the basement of a huge mansion. And after almost a century of being a statue, someone let them loose. It was simple enough. I mean the only task was to touch Akasha's statue and drink blood from her arm. Sounds weird I know." So for the next three hours I sat down and explained everything while Jay was fixing up Brian. It took a lot of explaining, pausing, and thinking, but after those three hours Kale finally understood everything. Even though it felt like he already knew most of the things I told him. I already know that Brian knew this stuff because Akasha had killed his great grandma and his great great grandma. He only ever explained it to me once, but it was enough to know what was going on.
