12. Kelly

Kelly got up and ate.  Cleaned the house and started cooking for later in the day.  She decided to read for a while and when she got the book and started reading.  She enjoyed the book so much,  she forgot about the food she was cooking.  She finally realized what had happened.

She went to the kitchen and sure enough the food was no good.  She threw it all away and started cooking again.  She had to watch the food this time.  She worked on the computer for a while but got bored.

So she called all of her friends and found no one home.  She wondered why they were all gone.  No one had called her all day.  Any other time her phone would be ringing all day.  She was starting to get worried.

The food was finally finished and she cut the stove off.  Got her keys and purse and went to the car.  She got in and turned the radio on and there was good music playing.  She was going pretty fast.  Enjoying the sun on her face.

When she looked again a truck was coming right at her.  It did not slow down or stop.  It hit her car and she ran off the road and hit her head.  She did not remember what happened.  Did not know how long she was out or who found her.

All she knows for sure is a truck hit her.  The police were there but she could not tell them much.  They looked as if they did not believe her.

When she finally got home and walked in the door.  The phone was ringing and when she answered,  a voice said I know where you live!  This scared her.  Who was this?  How do they know her?  What do they want.

She called the police and told them.  They came to the house and listened at the voice.  Told her someone would be watching her at all times.

She thought this can not be happening to me.  Why now and why me?
