As I'm getting into my car, my phone starts to ring.

"Hello?" It's Luke.

"Hey, can you meet me somewhere else? We need to talk." What happened now?

"Sure. Where you do you wanna meet?" I ask him.

"Downtown L.A." And then he hangs up.

"Oh. Okay." When I reach downtown, I see him sitting on a local bench. I park my car and walk over to him.

"Hey. You wanted to talk?" He has his head in his hands.

"Yeah. It's pretty major." I take a seat next to him.

"Okay. What's up?" He sighs before answering.

"I think you shouldn't be assigned as our photographer anymore." My mouth hangs open.

"W-w... Wait, what?" I was not expecting this.

"I have to focus on my career and my band. You're... just a big distraction." I just sit there with my mouth open.

"And... I can't have any more drama with you and my girlfriend. Not that you're the cause of the drama, I just can't have any more drama. Plus, some... stuff has happened and... it just wouldn't be great if I'm sneaking around with you and doing stuff with you on the sly." I finally close my mouth and nod.

"I, uh... I absolutely agree." He frowns.

"Wait, you do?" I nod, swallowing the huge lump that seems to be stuck in my throat.

"Mhm. I almost got fired after that... incident with your girlfriend. And I know how it feels to be cheated on. I don't want to be the side chick to you. I deserve better. So, I think it's best if I wasn't assigned as your photographer either. We both need to focus on ourselves and what is best for us and this," I make hand gestures between him and me.

"This isn't what's best for us." He looks down and nods.

"I, uhm, yeah. You're right." I can feel tears ready to fall, but I quickly wipe them away before Luke sees them. Why does this hurt so much? I think. I stand up. He looks at me and stands as well.

"Well, I guess this is a goodbye?" He says, more like a question. He gives me this look, almost like he's pleading for me to say no. But I nod my head.

"Yes. This is a... a goodbye." He facial expression falls. My hands start to shake.

"I-it was nice meeting you, Luke. You're a good person and an amazing musician. I hope the best comes to you and your band, and your girlfriend and... your future." I give him a tight smile before it quickly disappears. He nods. He has tears in his eyes as well.

"Y-yeah. Y-you too, Haiti." He wraps his arms around me. I place my hands on his back. After what felt like a minute, he lets go.

"I guess I uh, better get back to the rest and tell them what happened." I look away as I'm about to cry again and nod my head.

"Mhm." My voice cracks a little. I don't make eye contact with him as I hear him walk away. I finally look up and he's already in his car, driving away. When his car is out of sight, I fall back down onto the bench and start crying my eyes out.

Sorry that this chapter is short. I'm trying to make this story lengthy. Give me thoughts on this chapter. What do you think of it?

P.S.- I redid my trailer for this story. It's still the same, just that the song is different, I added a few clips in it and the words are on the clips, not on a black background. Let me know what you think of it.

Thanks for reading! xo
