6. Chapter Six: Kai

I pace around the room, hands folded behind back and feet moving fast. I couldn't sit still for the strangest reason. It's as if without her here, I become uncalm and stressed out. It's as if her presence soothes me and right now, I'm missing it.

Without putting much thought into it, I grab my car keys and jacket. I rush outside to my car and start it up. Driving off from my house, I have only one person on my mind. I don't know why I am so obsessed with her but I just realized that as soon as she left me, I wanted her to come back. I need her to come back to me.

As I'm driving to the police station, it pulls back the little memories we had just shared. Her cute way of being upset and chasing me around the house like a maniac. As I look back at all these memories, I find myself falling for her more and more. Which is making me miss her more and more.

Once I arrive at the police station, I was greeted by a pair of cops who questioned why I was. They eventually let me through and there I saw her, waiting on a chair with a nervous and wrecked look on her face. I don't know what came over me but the next moment I rush over to her and pick her up in my arms.

"K-Kai?!" She exclaims, shocked but eventually hugging me back. Just as the policeman comes out, he carries papers in his hands.

"Oh good, you're here. She's free to go for now." He announces and I smile so wide my face might break. I put Eun-mi down and stare at her. I cup her face in my hands while smiling as bright as the sun.

"You ready to go home?" I ask her and she nods her head so fast that I cannot help but chuckle at. We then leave the police station and drive home.

On our way home, she keeps fidgeting and I am so tempted to ask her what's wrong but I'll ask her when we get home.

We arrive home and she immediately breaks out in tears. I look at her with a worried expression and quickly take her in my arms.

"What's wrong Eun?" I ask her, worried that something may be seriously wrong.

"I didn't kill him!" She exclaims and my heart almost breaks at how much sadness there was in her voice is.

"I know you didn't kill him." I tell her, cupping her face in my hands.

"And why do you believe me?" She asks, continuing to cry.

"Because I don't think the person I love could do such a thing." I say and before she has the time to reply, I smash my lips against hers.
