Friend, Please

Tyler and Josh were just a figurative to each others imaginations. Josh never really talked about the Tyler kid to his family, he knew the consequences of it. Tyler? Not so much. He would always talk about Josh, his family judging him for it, they believed that that ‘imaginary friend’ was getting to intense. They sent him to therapy. That was up until he was 16. He stopped talking about Josh and as a factor so did the therapy. Tyler’s mom was glad to see Josh had disappeared out of Tyler’s mind. That was until 7 years later when Tyler bumped into a all to familiar face. It was Josh. They instantly clicked, Tyler making a mistake and now having a roommate in his apartment. Tyler doesn’t know Josh's secret. But they live through, become closer than ever before. That is until tragedy strikes. Lies stumble around them.Read Friend, Please to carry on with their journey and to find out the ultimate truth.

5. Mistake.

“Coffee finished yet?’’ I ask, walking downstairs.
“Yeah.” I take the cup of coffee that was set on the table for me, I go into the fridge and grab some milk, pouring some into my coffee. I close the milk carton and place it back in, closing the fridge door. I sip the coffee, the heat tingling my tongue. I take another sip letting the coffee sit in my mouth since its so hot for me to swallow. My nose began to get all tingly. Oh no. Nope allergies you will not. No no no no.

"I forgot the sugar," Josh says, walking in front of me with a packet of sugar. That's when it exploded. I sneezed, the coffee going all over his white shirt and his face. I place my coffee cup down and stumble a tad, Josh rubbing his eyes since the coffee must have got in them. He stumbles into me, pushing me down onto the floor, my hand dragging the coffee cup with me. The cup shatters on the floor, close to my face, getting Josh- who's now on top of me- and I covered in coffee. He opens his eyes, his eyes red and swollen as if he has been crying for hours. "Sorry." He says him propped up on his arms, his body hovering over mine.

"Hey, why are you apologizing? I'm the one who got coffee in your eyes."

"Yeah and I'm the one who fell on you, caused you to fall and caused the coffee cup to break." I shake my head, turning away from him, not really fond of all the eye contact that he was giving me.

"You still don't like it, do you?'' Josh says, moving so he's no longer on top of me but now eye level with me, laying next to me.

"What?'' I question, looking down (even were laying down) at the coffee we are laying in.

"Eye contact. That's why you are looking away right now. It still makes you uncomfortable.'' He stands up. "Oh and by the way.'' He starts walking towards his room, so he probably can change. "I wasn't looking into your eyes.'' I sit up, pushing the broken pieces of the cup away from me so I don't accidentally step on it.

"What?" He smiles.

"I think you know what I meant.'' He walks into his room, closing the door behind him.
