The Case of the Living Doll

A story of a human-like doll and her owner Undertaker.

10. Chapter 9

(Y/n) shivered and drew arms around herself, trying to restore some of the warmth that left with Undertaker.

Nothing was working and she started to miss his arms that would always wrap around her, giving her comfort.

Now she was all alone in some cabin, aboard a ship where she was supposed to have fun and celebrate becoming human, with her favourite person.

But he was now who knows where, doing who knows what.

Dolly was always in the dark when it came to things to do with Undertaker or his plans.

He had started to treat her like a human but other times he would forget himself, and treat her like the doll she was.

However she was nothing but grateful to him for restoring her original state and for giving a new lease of life.

She owed him everything and she could feel her heart being filled with nothing but him: except one part which would always hold a place for her late fiancé.

It was just that where she was alive he was not, even if the thought did almost bring her to tears, she needed to move on and falling in love again was a huge step in her becoming not like a dolly.

She laid back on the bed and closed her eyes, just let them rest, then they snapped open again when she heard a loud explosion.

And then the Campania began to sink.

Now what is she to do?
