Mortel's P.O.V

He glanced up at me, with my handprint on his cheek. Maddy is dead. A soul that was purer than a white canvas. I waited for a brief moment, allowing him to say any godforsaken pathetic justification for his idiotic action.

"It's wasn't me, Mortel. I didn't kill Fern." he calmly stated while placing his hand on his now reddened cheek.  I scoffed and run my bruised hand through my hair.

Whoreson.

Has this moment was in somewhere rather isolated, I would have killed him. Heck, I would have let him bleed to death.

"Dead people can't come back to life. We have to move forward-" I cut him off.

"Madeline came back to life. Conveniently too, if I was too be honest. Very. Convenient." He sighed deeply.

"She is a FUCKING SUPERNATURAL MORTEL!" the sudden rise of his voice took me by surprise, however, it does not daunt me. He can only bark out his words. He is no threat to me.

"Maddy was Alexer's last resource of family, Kai. You took it away from her. The Kims may have harmed your family in the past but that does not give you the reason to murder the innocents" I shouted. She's just a kid.

 Maddy. I am so sorry.

Kai let out a scoff and looked down upon me. His gaze was far too intense for a 22-year-old boy.

"What about Princess Halos? Your 'boyfriend'  took her away from Prince Felix and Alexer too...fucking hypocrite," he pushed past me.

Princess Halos...

Winter of 2199

"I won't sacrifice her for your greed," I heard a woman screamed from one of the rooms of the courtyards. The voice resembles that of Princess Halos. Her eerie sound echoed throughout the empty hallway. Most hunters were called to ensure the execution of a supernatural run smoothly.  As quickly as I could, I raced to her assigned courtroom.

The loud bang of a gunshot made me sprint even faster.

Ran out of the room in a panic right was a little girl. Her dressed stained blood and her face drained of color.  It was Alexer Kim.  She started to run in my direction but was held back by a person in the room. I froze in my spot when I saw a tall man exited the room with a royal's gun clutched in his hand. He walked out with a blood-soaked hessian sack. He killed someone.

"Ain't you lucky that my sweet is here, go on, run child" he laughed and let go of Alexer.

"What did you do?!" I asked shockingly. He used his now bloodstained porcelain forefinger to lift up my chin.

"I'm doing something that Madeline failed to do"

Yes...I am a hypocrite. I didn't even let anyone know about Princess Halos' death.

Alexer. Truly, I am sorry but my family comes first.

Madeline's P.O.V

"Is this where they bury her? Along with the outcasts?" I muttered. Hoya didn't answer as he helped me out of the car.  He directed me to a gravestone that laid amongst many others. If it was not for the rose crest, a secret symbol between her and I, I would not have known that it was Princess Halos's gravestone.

But I guess that's what he wanted. To kill her and pretend like she was one of the outcasts. To make people believe that it was just another body that winded up here.

My beloved Halos.  I can't believe they have chosen this horrid place for your grave.  Even the air hear leaked of revenge, betrayal, and mistrust.  Your gravestone is far too simplistic and pathetic for someone with such importance.

Thank you for all you've done for me Princess Halos. They will pay for what they have done.

Winter of 2199

"Madeline, you must go. I overheard my father talking to the king. Your execution night is tonight!" Princess Halos warned as she stormed into my prison cell.

"Halos, you know there's not enough time. Besides if I cross the Realm again, I might not get there safely," I softly whispered.  My wound is not healing as fast as its suppose to. Princess Halos began to sob so I quickly turned away.

" You must hide that child Halos, your father must not know who she actually is," I said sternly. She suddenly stopped sobbing.

"The spell, I must perform the spell right? Kai's family told me about the spell that allowed you to come here," She backed away with my wand and slammed the prison cell's door shut.

"No Halos, think about this! " I banged on the door helplessly.

Princess Halos...Why must you be so stubborn.
