Just Neighbours

The typic boy next door tries to seduce you, but when you start finding out his secret, it's hard for you to fall in his trap.

8. Unexpected

When I got back home, I looked at the porch he was no longer sitting on. Deep inside I knew I'd give in to him and give him my number. But not just yet.

I thought I was feeling a bit extra so I made myself some pancakes. As soon as I grabbed my portion, I heard a knock on the door.

Can they just like, leave us alone for a day and let us do our unpacking. I mean, Stacy is quite nice but I find her a bit over friendly.

"Hello!" Stacy said, with Arthur swaying behind her.

"Hi! So you managed to convince him to come this time?"

"No convincing required." she said smiling, Arthur putting his hands in his pockets.

This was, even though I've only known him for two days, quite unexpected for him to show up for breakfast.

"Oh, well I've just made pancakes and had a few so why don't you both come in while I grab some for both of you." I said while closing the door behind them and letting them sit in the dining room.

"Oh no, it's fine. I had some cereal this morning." Arthur said rolling up his sleeves.

I could see him discreetly smile as his mom's face suddenly lit up with an idea. Oh. No.

"Maybe Jazz would like to show you her new room?" She said slowly, looking from me to Arthur waiting for my response.

I opened my mouth to decline the offer but then realised it would have been rude of me to say something like that. I raised my euebrows and over sarcastically smiled.

"Sure!" I said, cursing in my head.

"I'll show myself out. Have fun!" Stacy said leaving as if she just saw a ghost under the didning table.

As soon as she shut the door, I looked at Arthur and frowned.

"I don't know what you're trying to do, but I can tell you now it's not worth it." I said turning around and starting to lead him up the squeaky stairs towards my bedroom.

"I don't know what you're talking about." he laughed and followed me up the stairs.

I opened my door and closed the door behind us.

"This is my wardrobe, this is my bed, this is my desk and this is my mirror." I smiled and opened the door again, motioning him to leave.

"I'm not going anywhere until you shiw me those drawings of yours."

I immediately froze and looked atnhim as if he had just swore.

"No! They're private. Plus, have you been stalking me?!"

"Nooo, I glanced at your window and saw you drawing."

"Okay, but you have to promise me you won't laugh if they're really bad or not your style." I said concerned, shutting the door and grabbing the notepad from my desk.

I handed them over to him and for a while he didn't say anything. Just flicked through the pages like and old newspaper that was politics only.

"Um?" I said as at least 2 minutes went past of him flicking through the pages.

"Are you kidding me." He said in an annoyed tone.

"What? Art they awful?" I asked grabbing the drawings from his hands.

He looked at me and smirked.

"These are amazing Jazz. Have you ever thought about doing something like this for your future job?"

I opened my mouth again but words didn't seem to make their way out yet again. All I could manage was nod and smile. My mind was going in all sorts of different directions, chasing the weird dreams I have for when I grow up.

He smiled and grabbed a pencil. He sat down on my bed and started scribbling.

Writing, rather.

In neat writing, he gave me my notepad back and smirked.

"My number, just in case."

My heartbwas literally beating the crap out of my chest so I took the notepad and led him to the door.

"Bye." I said leaning against the door.

"See ya." his dimples were piercing my soul I swear, his eyes glimmered as he walked away.

Why on Earth was I actually falling for this irresistible boy?
