5. First Encounter.

Stevie's P.O.V

Bri picked me up super early because her mum needed her car to get to work. I woke up at like 6 in the morning and was incredibly tired. When I got there we both napped for a bit, until it was around nine in the morning. After we woke up, we thought about going to Bec's Bakery to get some breakfast. Whilst getting ready for breakfast, she blasted Why Don't We.

"Of course!" I said giggling as she turned it on.

"After M.I.A, I'll show you Jack's solo song. It's called Liar." She said super excited. I nodded and tried to find some decent clothes to wear.

"Can we go to the beach after?" I asked once we started walking, the beach was already packed and it was only around ten o'clock.

"Can we go after the concert?" She asked. "I don't want to get my hair all frizzy." She continued.

"Nights swimming... Yeah, that sounds good, I haven't been at night in ages." I said starting to get excited about swimming.

We were nearly at the bakery when Bri realized that she left her purse at home.

"Shit! Hold on, I'll be back in a minute." She said already turned back.

"You want me to keep walking?" I called to her. She put her thumbs up and continued to walk in the opposite direction, which turned into a jog.

While I was walking I found myself humming to one of their songs, Something Different. The usual quiet street was fairly busy, I was smiling at all the people I walked past, still humming. I heard someone singing behind me, I looked back, there were only a few people behind me walking in the same direction, then someone caught my eye.

"Was that you singing?" I asked smiling at him. I stopped walking and waiting for him to catch up.

He got off his skateboard and put it under his arm. "Yeah, sorry I couldn't help it." He replied. American. It could've been, what if it was? Play it cool.

"It's okay, it was good. I'm surprised you knew the song." I slightly cringed, pretty much regretting everything I'd just said.

He giggled, "I know right." He said, it was him, I could tell by his smile.

"You looking forward to tonight?" I asked smirking at him.

"Not to sound up myself, but I knew you knew me! And yeah, I want to get up there already. You?" He asked.

I smiled, "Yeah, I'm seriously excited! I love concerts so much." I stated. "Where are the rest of the guys?" I asked we started walking towards the bakery.

"The beach, I went back to get the camera. So you are coming tonight?" He asked, he broke the eye contact then started it again after he spoke.

"Yeah, me and my friend Bri. She'll be here any second if you want to wait." I said keeping the eye contact.

"I would but I have to get the camera, they're probably wondering where I am." He said.

"Okay, I get it, the scenery is amazing," I said, I completely understood, if it was my first time here I would want to take as many photos as possible.

"Thanks, it was nice meeting you, ahh, sorry, what was your name?" He asked.

"Stevie." I smiled.

"Well it was nice meeting you, I hope you enjoy tonight. I'll be looking for you in the crowd." He said smiling.

"I'll be in the front," I stated. We stared at each other for a moment.

"Okay, I've got to go." He said opening his arms for a hug, which I gladly accepted.

"See you tonight," I said after we'd separated.

Jack ran to the hall while I turned into the bakery, Bri came in as soon as I sat down.

"Have you ordered yet?" She asked kind of puffed out. I shook my head and smiled. "You okay? You seem happier." She seemed concerned.

"The beach just makes me happy," I replied. I got up then we ordered breakfast. All I could think about the whole time was Jack.
