Spur of the moment poems

Delve into the portal that is my soul transformed into words. I'm still a little hesitant about putting my poetry out for the world to read, but do what you will. They're just poems that came to me either in the middle of the night, or the light of day.

1. Desolate Land

Piercing shadows overhead

the moon shone bright through its dread.

Travelers lost and now grown haggard

Upon a town they had staggered.

One lost in time or so it seems,

The other young and full of dreams.

Alone here now the town did stand.

Barren and cold was this land.

A civilized village of people banned

The travelers fell to the sand.

Ghosts stood where corpses lied

Forgotten village, forgotten pride.
