Invisable illness

This is a collection of poems about Mental health issues. These are personal and I go through these battles everyday.

2. I thought I was a hero...

I thought I was hero.

I thought I was a hero fighting on my own, protecting others from my pain, my torture.

I thought finding comfort in a blade was better that speaking. I thought I was brave. Brave for slicing into my flesh, feeling a physical pain. Pain is just your neves sending messages to your brain.

I thought taking my life would take stress of others. I thought by simply disappearing people would forget me and enjoy their life. I thought by slitting my wrists and bleeding to death would make people happier.

I honestly thought I was a hero.
