Stay - HS

Alexia Roberts was just a normal British girl. 22 years old, working at a Starbucks in London. She had a perfectly boring future planned out before Harry Styles showed up and made it flawed, but also fun. When the end finally comes, it all depends on Alexia. Will she choose to stay or go?

10. Chapter 10

Alexia's POV

"It'll be fine, don't worry." I tried comforting Harry. He wasn't that nervous, but his breathing came out in short breaths. We were in his dressing room alone (his band and stylist haven't arrived yet), and he was about to go on stage in a few hours. He didn't say anything, so I continued talking. "You'll be meeting some of your fans you've already seen before, and be meeting new ones!"

"It's been so long since I've been on tour."

"You've still preformed." I pointed out.

"Yeah, you're right." He stopped pacing around the room and sat down next to me.

"I'm here!" The room's door burst open and a man appeared.

He saw me and waved. "Hi! I'm Harry Lambert. You are...?"

"Alexia. Alexia Roberts. Nice to meet you! You must be very skilled to have Harry looking this good every time."

"I do try." He smiled. While Harry and Harry talked and picked out some clothes, I went around the building looking for a bathroom.

I opened a door, and inside was another guy. Very skinny, I must say. It looked like I was interrupting his guitar playing.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was looking for a bathroom." I blushed.

He stopped playing. "It's alright. I'm Mitch! Alexia, right?"

"How do you know?"

"I'm a genie."

I laughed. "Then can you grant me three wishes?"

"Of course, my dear."

"I would like you to play the guitar for me please, that's all."

"You a fan of guitars?"

"It's my favourite thing to do."

Mitch played me a piece of a song I didn't recognize.

"A fucking guitar playing legend." I whispered when he finished.

He laughed this time. "Thanks. Now, your turn."

He handed me the guitar. We kept doing this back and forth, giving the guitar to the other person, them playing something, then giving it back to you to play something. I totally forgot about finding a bathroom. It was really fun, and I didn't realize how much time had passed until someone knocked, then Harry's head poked through the crack.

"Hey Mitch," Harry grinned, then turned to me. "You should play with Mitch during the concert today."

"Um.. no. I am not the slightest bit ready for that."

"Just tell me when you want to, okay?"

"Probably never going to happen, but okay."

"It'll happen one day, if I have to drag you on stage myself."

"You can try, Styles."

"We're practicing on stage now." He told Mitch. Mitch nodded and took his guitar with him as we followed Harry. I stayed in the back as Harry's band placed themselves behind their instruments and started to play the songs. I nearly had a heart attack from how good he sounded. He was amazing alone, but music enhances it a bit more. He also covered some songs.

During the real concert

Again, I stayed behind the curtains while Harry, Mitch, Adam, Sarah, and Chloe (I learned all their names and hung out with them a bit alone) preformed. Everything from Sarah's drumming to Harry's singing was just perfect. The fans' screaming almost broke my ear though, but I liked it. At the end of the show, Harry suddenly appeared in front of me. I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying before that as I was texting Meghan. Whoops.

"Come on!" He held out his hand.

"Out there?" I looked him, bewildered. Why in a million years would he want me to go out there? I'd be the dull rose in the beautiful rose bush.

He turned to the crowd. "She's a bit shy, why don't we encourage her?"

The people began to chant my name.

"Let the people see you, Lex!" He reached out his hand to me once again.

"No." I firmly said.

Before I knew what was happening, I was thrown over Harry's shoulder.

"HARRY! PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed.

I was put down, and I lightly punched Harry in the shoulder.

"Ow! I'm hurt!" He pretended to die.

It was just then when I heard the crowd laughing that my brain registered I was actually in front of a LOT of people. A blush crept onto my cheeks and I leaned into Harry's chest. He just laughed and held me close to him.

"Sexual harassment." I glared at him.

"I would never." One of his hands flew to his chest as he acted offended.

"You owe me ice cream and a rom-com."

"That can easily happen."

"WATCH 'THE NOTEBOOK'!" A person yelled.

I looked down and realized his mic was beneath my chin, so everyone just heard what I said.

I glared at him again, and he realized what was going to happen so he ran. There wasn't much room up here, so I caught him without much effort. Tackling him to the ground, we ended up in a tickle war. Harry won.

He shoved the mic in my hands. "What would you like to say?"

"Um... hi." Everyone went berserk. I don't exactly know why. I gave the mic back to Harry.

"SAY I LOVE YOU!" Someone else yelled.

"We haven't gotten to that stage quite yet." Harry laughed.

For the closing of the show, I tried to go backstage, but Harry would just hold me, not letting me escape from his grasp. Eventually I gave up and leaned into him. Seeing how Harry looked so confident in front of these people made me realize exactly what he did as a job. The realization that I was dating Harry Styles. A singer. A legend. Singing in front of hundred to millions of people was his job. I felt lightheaded.

The show ended. Harry and his band ran offstage. I ran beside Harry. It took most of my energy and concentration not to faint for the closing of the concert. Luckily, I made it, but once we took a step behind the curtains, I slipped into darkness.

Harry's POV

I ran off stage grinning like an idiot. It didn't disappear even when we walked behind the curtains. But Alexia's conscious did. She fell but I caught her before she hit her head.

"Is she okay?" Sarah worriedly looked at her.

"I shouldn't have pulled her out there." I rubbed my temples and frowned. How could I be so stupid?

"You were just excited, it's okay." Clare patted my back.

"I'm going take her back to my dressing room. Good job, by the way. You guys were awesome."

"Thanks!" Mitch, Clare, Sarah, and Adam chorused.

They laughed as they walked off towards their dressing rooms. Mine was the opposite way. I found myself wishing Alexia was awake. She always made things feel better and less lonely.

I carried Alexia there and gently set her down on the couch. Pushing her hair out of her face, I realized how much I had fallen for her in these past (nearly) two weeks. I decided that I was going to ask her to go to dinner with me tonight. I didn't know what type of dinner she like though. I called Meghan and put it on speaker while I got my stuff packed for trip on the tour bus. Alexia's stuff was already in the bus.

"Harry? Why are you calling? Is something wrong?" She asked once she picked up.

"Hello, Meghan! How are you?"

"I'm good, just hanging out with some friends. What about you?"

"I'm good too. So, I wanted to take Alexia out on a date."

"Is this your first date with her?"

"Um, yes."

"And she said me and Jason were moving too fast." I could almost hear her rolling her eyes.

"She did?"

"Yeah, anyways, so why did you call me?"

"I don't know what she likes."

"You want to take her out tonight? Like, right now?"

"Maybe in an hour or so, or whenever she wakes up."

"Come to think about it, I don't really know what she likes for dinner. Take her to a fancy restaurant, or even McDonalds might do."

"Okay, but which one do you think she'll like better?"

"Doesn't matter."

"But what if she doesn't like it?"

"You'll think of something. Why are you so... worried about what to give her?"

I stopped what I was doing and stared at my phone. "I really like her, Meghan. I know I've been trough a lot of relationships, but I'm still very new at this. I really don't want to screw this up."

"Do you genuinely care for her?"

"Yes." I answered truthfully.

"Good. Then I trust you Harry." Meghan's voice softened.

"Thank you."

"Do whatever you think is best for her." Meghan recommended.

"Thanks Meghan."

"No problem! Got to go! Bye!"

She hung up.

I plopped down on the couch, careful not to squish Alexia's legs, and sighed. I'm going to have to ask Adam about the restaurants in San Fransisco, he usually knows where the best places to eat are. And he's usually right. Don't know how, but he just has that 'feeling'. At least, that's what he claims to have.

No. You got to do this yourself.

I thought of all the places in San Fransisco I've been to. What do they have on their menus? Would it be good enough for Lex? Would she deem it worthy of eating it? Is another place better? I groaned, my brain already fried.

Alexia woke up. "Are you okay? Did something happen? Is everyone okay? Did the show somehow go wrong?"

I admired how she always worried about other people. Laughing, I said, "You worry too much. And yes, everything is okay."

"Oh, thank god."

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

"For what?"

"For bringing you on stage, you clearly weren't ready for it."

"I felt fine, it wasn't even that bad." She shrugged.

"You fainted right after."

"Okay, maybe I wasn't ready, but I'll get used to it. Don't blame it on yourself."

I hesitated. "Do you... do you maybe want to go out for dinner?"

"Are you asking me on a date?" Alexia tried holding back her laughter but failed.

A blush creeped its way onto my cheeks. "Maybe... I mean, if you don't want to then you don't have to but uh... I was just wondering if you wanted to go with me-"

Alexia cut me off with a kiss. "I'd love to go with you."

I sighed in relief. "I thought you were going to say no."

"How could I ever say no to you?" She smiled at me so widely and beautifully that everything around me turned into a brighter shade. Is that even possible?

A thought hit me. Maybe... maybe I loved her? No, I can't. It's too early. That's impossible. Right?

I felt lightheaded. I can't faint, not in front of Alexia. Especially if we're going on a date soon and she just woke up from fainting.

"Harry? Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"You're lying."

"No, I'm not." I faked a smile. On the inside I was shocked, confused, and lost. I didn't understand why or how she made me feel this way. I've never felt this way to anyone before.

She studied me. "I'm always here if you want to talk."

"Thanks. But I'm fine, really!"

Alexia said nothing. She grabbed my bag and walked out of the room. I followed her.

"Are you mad at me?" I grabbed her arm. She shook it off and kept walking. We made it into the tour bus before she talked to me.

"Where do you want your bag?"

"I'll take them." I reached for them but she held them away.

"Where do you want your bag?" Alexia repeated.

"Just dump them on my bed."

"And which one is your bed?"

I pointed to the bottom one. She placed them on it and walked back to me.

"Why are you so mysterious?" She asked.

We snuggled together on the mini couch. Her head rested on my shoulder.

"Am I?"

Alexia didn't answer. We stayed like that for minutes before she spoke. "Everything's so confusing. I don't know what's going on anymore, unlike before. I used to be in control of my life, of my actions. But you take that control away, Harry. I don't know if I should be scared."

I kissed her forehead. "We'll figure it out."

"I hope so."

She stood up.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To get ready for that date. The one that you stammered a lot while asking me out." Alexia winked, then disappeared.

"Dress fancy!" I called after her.

I remembered I haven't told her where the bathroom was, but the bus was fairly small so I don't think she'd have a hard time finding it. I changed in middle of the sleeping cubby stuff because no one was here anyways, so they wouldn't see me. I wore a simple black suit. Where were Mitch, Adam, Chloe, and Sarah anyways?

I waited for her on the couch. I had found a really popular restaurant that I think she'd like and made reservations. Thankfully, there was a spot left. Plus, it was close so we could walk there, which would give me more time to spend with her.

"I'm ready." Alexia said. I gaped at her. She was more than beautiful. (outfit at the top, but without the choker) Her makeup was light, with only lip gloss and mascara.

"Let's go." I took her hand and led her off the bus.

"What happened to your gorgeous floral suits?" She teased as we walked down the street.

"Oh. Do you want me to wear one? I could go back and change-"

"No, no. I like you in this."

"Would you actually go back and change if I said yes?"

"What do you think?"

Fans were still at the front of the building of where I preformed, and when we walked past them, one spotted us. Soon, we were swarmed with fans all around us.

"I'm sorry, I thought they would have been gone by now." I whispered to Alexia.

"Nah, it's cool. I like how they're so dedicated."

She stood to the side while I took pictures and signed stuff. Some even asked for Alexia's autograph. I laughed at the surprise on her face. But others decided to straight out ignore the fact that she was there. I was a bit pissed, but not everyone has to like someone. She seemed fine with it though. I think she liked to be alone, or at least not with a bunch of people.

It took about 30 minutes to get through everyone, and I even talked to some for a bit. I loved talking to my fans, they're truly amazing and I'm so thankful for them.

I managed to get out of the crowd and over to Alexia who said, "How do you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Not run away."

I chuckled. "They're like my girlfriends."

"So you're cheating on me? How dare you!" Alexia pretended to look hurt.

"Sorry babe, I won't do it again."

"You better not. Or you're getting dumped."

Dinner was a disaster. The waiter accidentally tripped and spilled soup all over Alexia's dress, spaghetti went flying onto Alexia's hair, and I accidentally spilled water all over her. We barely ate. While my clothes weren't touched by any food, Alexia looked like she jumped into a hole full of it.

"I'm so sorry." I sighed.

"Are you kidding? This is the best date I have ever been on!" She laughed.

"This was so much more interesting and fun!"

"You liked it?"

"No, I loved it. Thank you." She reached up and kissed my cheek.

"OH MY GOSH THERE'S A CARNIVAL!" She pointed the the distance. "Please, please, pleeeease can we go? Please?"

"Of course."

I laughed as she tried to run but tripped because of her heels. Luckily I caught her.

"Why did I even wear these?" She grumbled to herself, then pulled me along in the direction of the carnival.

Alexia's POV

Harry and I went on all the rides, and I had the burden to wear heels. In the middle, I just took off my heels and walked barefoot. Harry also took off his shoes and socks to make me feel better. Walking back to the bus, I carried my heels in one hand, and the other hand held cotton candy.

"Want some?" I offered.

Harry opened his mouth. I stuffed it into his mouth, and his cheeks puffed out while he chewed.

"Thanks." He said after he swallowed the food.

We walked back in silence. Back in the bus, we met up with Adam.

"Hey." Harry smiled. I waved.

"Where we you guys?" Adam studied our attire.

"A date." I answered.

Adam looked at the stains in my dress. "Didn't go as you planned?"

Harry grinned. "Not even close."

"But it was the best date ever!" I winked and kissed Harry's cheek for the secondth time this evening.

"Where were you guys?" Harry asked him.

"We figured we had some time so we went out to dinner. We didn't invite you two 'cause we thought you might have wanted your private time, eh?" Adam wiggled his eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes.

"The others are asleep, I better go to sleep too. Goodnight!" Adam walked off.

Harry and I stayed there, looking at each other.

I spoke first. "Thank you, Harry. That was probably the most fun I have ever been through in my entire existence."

"Thank you for coming with me."

"I'm going to go take a shower." I pointed to my dress.

After my shower, Harry pulled me onto his lap on the couch.

He nibbled my ear lobe, then began leaving a trail of kisses down my neck. His hand reached under my shirt and his thumb stroked large circles on my thighs. I leaned into the touch, my head tilting back give him better access. He found my soft spot, and sucked on it, his teeth grazing my skin. Not hard enough to give me a hickey, which I was thankful for, but hard enough to make an un-human sound escape from my mouth. I eagerly pressed my lips on his, lustfully kissing him.

Harry's fingers and lips left my skin. He gently lifted me off him and stood up, leaving the parts of my skin where he touched cold.

"We should go to sleep." He said.

"Why do you always have to lead me on?" I whined.

Harry chuckled. "Goodnight, Alexia."

"Night, Harry."

We walked to the room where all the beds were. I kissed him goodnight, then crawled into my slot.

I wonder how Meghan was doing. Was Jason treating her right? He better be. I thought about calling her, but that would disturb everyone's sleep. I yawned. My thoughts and the sound of the bus' engine soon lulled me to sleep.
