The Woman In Black

"Without the darkness of the night, we wouldn't see the dead and bright stars"

We all believed, traditionally, that darkness was meant as a warning, to not cross the danger, to stay away from the evil spirits. But should we blame the darkness for it?

"In conclusion, the she-devil did her routine of misfortune, sadness and death on people again. And finally, when people had the courage, they asked her to leave, politely. The king actually tried to take off her cloak to burn by the sun's light, and she turns out ugly, as expected! After a while, she gave up on us and said that we won. And, now, when we've already finished preparing for the party, it turns out that the Yin of our country is taking a break! Ugh, the misfortune she brings everywhere she walks in!" The woman stated and the tall dark haired friend of hers nodded

The owner of the shop secretly frowned, wanting to correct the story of the dark skinned woman but couldn't.

"Who told you that anyway?" The fleurist asked the tall female friend just looked towards her way and nodded too, curious to know the truth.

"I was there, hiding in an alleyway, when all of the commission happened." The raven haired woman ended the conversation by taking the flower decorations and turning around to walk towards the crowd of people. Her tall friend hesitated at first, before following her. The woman was the least bit happy about what her friend said. She let out a long and big sigh before she shut off her shop for today and walked towards the black flower.

She looked at it for a moment before getting the idea of trying and plating it. She brang out a small pot and took her time to decorate it while the rose was drinking the water which was given to her. The result evolved a beautiful pot that looked like a dark night sky full of stars. She then looked for all the types of soil and tried them all with the rose, finally having the rose getting comfortable around the darkest and hardest soil of all of them, she put a quantity of it in the pot before taking the rose from the water and plating it there slowly, fearing the fragile rose will break an die any time soon.

As it was time to take the flower out under the warm rays of the sun at the unfamiliar time, the woman was pretty excited about this new experiment. At the moment of the small rays of the bright sun hit the petals of the dark flower, a smell of smoke could be felt within the fleurist's nose. She finally realised that this rose is terribly fragile to the sun's light, or any kind of light at the moment. She quickly entered the shop, trying to cover the rose, along with the pot, with her whole body before setting the pot down in the darkest corner of the room.

She decided to close her shop and take the rose home for safety. She locked some windows, along with all of the doors, then exited the shop, holding the flower under her light green grassy cloak. This rose needs too much care.

On the next day, what the clock informed the people of LandCoelum anyway, the king invited his friends, which were the most two richest people in the whole country, to discuss what happened. The king didn't get any much sleep, nor did his friends themselves. Even the villagers looked as tired as ever, waiting for the night to come. It was highly disturbing and sleep wouldn't cross anyone, only the repetitive yawns going around.

"We need to discuss what happened yesterday." The king ordered in a firm voice, fixing his white charming royal suit and his silver crown.

"Which topic are we getting on? About the disappearance of the night sky and the sleepless night we all had yesterday, or about how you and the whole village drove the woman in black to her accepting your request of leaving you all alone?" The first friend, a short male with dark brown curly hair falling into waves on the side and clear sea blue eyes, asked purely. While the other friend, tall and elegant with his black hair long and high and his dull black eyes piercing through the skull of the king, his old childhood friend.

"We can talk about both, I don't mind. What do you think, your majesty?" The sarcastic tone of the elegant man made it look like king lost his respect from the young and rich man.The king let out an irritated sigh.

"Yes, first of all, I couldn't find the Yin for many years since I had been chosen to be the Yang of this country, therefore, I'm clueless to the person holding the power of the Yin. What's for sure is that he is either playing around with people or he is dead and now we had to ask the great king of the world to find us a new one." The king answered, slumping down on the soft and comfortable chair across from them.

"Weren't you there with them when they appointed you as a Yang?" The short man asked in confusion until he realised his friend, and the king himself, got into a nervous mode.

"Well, I came late to the meeting because at that time, I wasn't for the idea of becoming a Yang. So, yes, I wasn't there when they appointed me as a Yang of LandCoelum." The king said composedly before failing and stumbling down.

"And what are we supposed to do? Look for this person? You know he won't tell the truth if he doesn't want to. We wouldn't find him, and I'm sure about that." The elegant friend answered back in an annoyed tone after giving thoughts what both of them said.

"That's why I invited you here. We could make it something! Who finds him, gets a big gift from one of the three of us. He can ask for anything and we will do for them just to get our hands on the Yin." The king said in happiness and the short man with curly hair nodded eagerly.

"I'm sorry.... But it looks like I'm opposing to the idea." The tall man raised from his part of the long and comfortable sofa.

"Come on, I need both of you to help me through this problem. You know if we didn't do anything, we will get another sleepless night, or should I say day." The king whined like a child while the elegant man just let out a sigh of giving up, siting down again.

"Fine, I'll go according to your plan. But when this fails, don't expect me to help you in anything."

"Thank you so much." The king cheered along with their short elegant friend.

"And what about the woman in black that you wanted to talk about anyway?" the brunette friend asked out of nowhere. And then, both friends realised that the king became red in a matter of minutes. It was amusing to watch, from the point of the black haired friend.

"Of course, you're so unlucky to see her face! I wasn't here yesterday by noon, but I heard she was so ugly she scared everyone to death." The short brunette man continued on while the other friend and the king just looked at him confused.
