10. The Mark

"Are you ready?" Draco asked. I smiled.

"Yep." I answered. Draco decided to take us back to the place were we had our first date. We ate at the three broomsticks and had a wonderful time laughing and telling jokes to each other.

We ended up walking down to the Shrieking Shack and sat down for

A while.

"I have had a wonderful time today Draco." I said

"Me too." He replied.

I started to blush and he smiled. Suddenly I thought of my encounter with Harry and I felt sadness and anger.

"Is something wrong?" Draco asked.

"Yes of course somethings wrong! Scar boy tried talking to me again." I said. Draco nodded.

"He'll do anything to trick you. Just don't listen to him."

"I don't listen. Harry lies all the time. He thinks he can get anything he wants." I said.

"So what did he tell you about me this time?" Draco asked. I hesitated.

"Nothing important." I still thought about the mark and I was worried that it was true. Soon, a soft toon of music could be heard from Hogsmeade. Draco stood up and held out his hand to me.

"Wanna dance?" He asked. I blushed.

"Yes. I would love to." I said. We started with a little waltz, to a back and forth, and eventually we ended up in a swaying motion. Draco looked deep into my eyes and I did the same. It felt like the moment would never end. I put my head on Draco's shoulder and we danced a little longer. While we danced, I noticed a little visible black mark sticking out from under his sleeve. Without asking I started to pull back Draco's sleeve.

"Abby, what are you-" Before he could finish his sentence, I had pulled his sleeve back entirely revealing a dark Deatheater Mark. "Abby I can explain!" Draco said. I wasn't listening. I couldn't listen. Anger and sadness entered my mind again.

"No no no! Harry was right! Harry was right!" I said. Tears began to pour down my face. "Harry was right! About you!"

Draco shook his head.

"Abby! Come on! Let me explain!" He pleaded. Tears filled my vision and I didn't want to listen.

"How could you! How could you Draco?! My father was right! Harry was right!" I shouted.

"Abby. No Abby! Please!" Draco pleaded again. I ran off and back to Hogsmeade.
