The world went to hell shortly after that first attack on the city I was in. Its was every man from themsleves until one day all the people who held a little bit of power silently agreed to live away from eachother. Now the world stayed divided up in to sections.

The first group of people were called the outsiders, the were the ones that you had to avoid they trusted no one and you were smart to do the same with them. Outsiders are the people who would kill you no matter what the age or circumstance. The were the closest group, and the most deadly, they had most of the weapons left. Then there was my group we are called the survivors, and that is exactly what we are. We do what we have to do to survive and nothing more, literally nothing more then that. The other groups are the murder, the lost, and the last. I don't know much about them, I just know their names.

22. Chapter twenty two

So once again that it is taking me soo long to update each chapter, but you know school has started again and for me it is endless amounts of tests and not enough time.

I open the door to the hut and walk inside the fire is slowly dying and the air in the hut is slowly cooling down, I walk over to the fire and toss more wood into it. Flames slowly start climbing up the side of the logs and soon there is a consistent fire burning.

I sit on the chair that is placed across from the fire and find myself staring into the fire that is soothingly warm against my cool skin. The flames fly in random orders until they from the shape of an eagle that flies high in the sky the wings spread wide out and the feathers are a vibrant shade of red and orange. Each flap creates a small amount of smoke above it and looks as though it is snowing just around the majestic bird.

I look down at the world and see people going about their days, a woman enters a store and children race down the road after a small dog, in the distance I see farmers tending to their fields. I get closer to the world and smell the warm scent of baked goods.

My feet land gently on the ground and I walk towards the smell, everyone I pass seems happy and excited as though something wonderful about to happen. I follow the scent and it leads me to a small bakery that opens to a side street, I open the door and a little bell goes off signally that I have entered. I little old lady looks up from a table with a soft smile.

“Hello dear.” The lady says, she takes my hand and leads me to the back of the bakery. In the back there are many workers baking many things, one is working on a cherry pie well another is working on a strawberry strudel. The lady sits down and I sit next to her.

The seat that I have sat on is soft and is very comfortable underneath me I lean back and try to enjoy the smells that surround me. One of the workers walks over to me and offers me a small slice of the pie that the were baking. I gladly accept it and pick up the fork that was on the plate with the pie.

“Eve?” Harry’s voice calls.

I sit up quickly and look around. Harry is standing at the front door and his coat is lightly dusted in snow, the light dusting makes the snow appear as if he were sparkling. He carries a large bag over to me and sits next to me. Harry opens the bag and pulls out a large winter coat that looks like it would be very warm, next he pulls out an old pair of figure skates.

“Mommy, Mommy!” I shout at my mum trying to get her attention. We were out shopping for the day and I had found something I really wanted.

Eve, Mum is busy paying for the stuff.” My sister said. Why was she always so mean, all I wanted was to be able to show mum what I wanted.

I tug on my mums’ jacket and she looks down at me. “Mommy look!” I shout as I point to a display a few steps away from myself. She looks back up at the cashier and doesn’t acknowledge what I want. I pull on her hand and try to get her to follow me, she says something to the cashier and follows me. I lead her to the display that has skates on it.

“Mommy, Mommy I want these.” I say as I pick them up and show her.

“Eve, why do you want those?” My mum asks.

“Mommy, don’t you remember, I want be an ice skating ballerina that looks graceful well in a beautiful pair of ice skates?” I say trying to get my mum to understand why I want these skates.

“Thanks.” I say to Harry.

“Your welcome, I figured maybe, if you were feeling better, that we could go skating maybe?” Harry suggests.

“Yes, we should, like right now!” I exclaim rather loudly, Harry looks stunned that I wanted to go and was feeling up to it. I quickly slip the coat that Harry brought over my and grab the skates. I race to the front door and put my shoes on as Harry slowly gets his stuff ready.

“I hope you know that we’ll have to drive to where we can sate right.” Harry says in a tone that makes me think that he is regretting bringing up the idea of ice skating

“Okay works for me, come on now, let’s go!” I say as I walk out the door and head for the truck.
