The world went to hell shortly after that first attack on the city I was in. Its was every man from themsleves until one day all the people who held a little bit of power silently agreed to live away from eachother. Now the world stayed divided up in to sections.

The first group of people were called the outsiders, the were the ones that you had to avoid they trusted no one and you were smart to do the same with them. Outsiders are the people who would kill you no matter what the age or circumstance. The were the closest group, and the most deadly, they had most of the weapons left. Then there was my group we are called the survivors, and that is exactly what we are. We do what we have to do to survive and nothing more, literally nothing more then that. The other groups are the murder, the lost, and the last. I don't know much about them, I just know their names.

19. Chapter nineteen

So, just to let you all know if I haven’t already, but I have no schedule for updating so it could be a week in between updates or it could be minutes. The most time in between updates will be a couple weeks but I doubt that you will have to wait that long. Alright bia ya’ll.

I was right about where the new hut was, it was across camp and honestly made my tired body even more exhausted. For some reason, I woke up and my body wanted to instantly fall right back on that futon and not get up for another year. From a distance, you could defiantly tell that the hut was considerably larger and newer. The hut was made from bricks of all different colors and sizes, but was most a dull red-ish brown, it looks well made and sturdy, even the windows looked like they could handle a bad storm of any weather. The door is made from logs that most have been from the forest that has the pond in. I can’t see the roof because the snow lightly dusts it in a beautiful way that just makes me smile.

Looking at the hut I can’t help but to feel like this is home and could even forget that I was technically being held here against my will. I am actually happy that I am here and not at the survivors’ camp, here felt more relaxed and easy going, where as at my old camp we were constantly on the move while working.

Harry opens the door and I see a small fire going in the main living area, on the inside of the hut it was spacious comparing it to other huts. We walk inside and the warmth hugs me and pulls me from the cold air outside. I need to thank the people who built this because it actually holds the heat and isn’t burning along with the wood that is the fuel for the fire, like I expected it to.

Across from the medium sized front windows there are two identical doors only about three feet apart, Harry walks to the door on the right and enters he closes the door behind him and then comes out moments later. Harry laughs to himself, almost as I he finds it funny that I haven’t moved from my spot.

“You know that the room on the left is yours, right?” Harry asks.

I nod my head, that’s what I thought but didn’t want to accidently walk into the bathroom without having a need to be in there because honestly, I wouldn’t want that to happen I think that would be rather embarrassing. I step closer to the fire and let the warmer air wrap around me like a blanket, Harry’s hut wasn’t cold but the warmth in there was nothing compared to the soft glowing flames that burned beside me. I let myself smile as the warmth even warms my toes which felt like they were about to fall off.

“Why don’t you go check out the room.” Harry suggests to me.

I walk towards the door on the left and turn the door handle, the door creeks when I open it but I can’t complain about getting my own separate room to sleep in. I step in and close the door behind me, the room is warm just like the main living area but has a small window that can open, meaning if I find it gets to hot in here I can cool down without having to go for a walk in the freezing snow. I put my bag down on the bed and smile when I notice that there is a desk next to the window, the desk isn’t as big as the one that was in the other hut but I was still glad that I had one, perhaps I could have time to practice drawing. The desk has a drawer that is filled with blank paper, and I have a feeling that Harry purposefully put the paper in there, almost like he knew that I was trying to create a nice drawing.

I walk over to the bed and lay on it, it is much softer then the hard and lumpy futon that I have slept many nights on. The blanket that is on top of the mattress is soft and I much like the one I had at Harry’s hut. Knock. There is a knock on the bedroom door and then Harry opens it.

“Just wanted to make sure you haven’t ran away yet.” Harry laughs, “Also, I am heading to bed I suggest that you do the same because we have a busy day tomorrow.”

I nod my head and say goodnight. I am now exhausted and easily fall asleep.

My soft hair falls easily through my fingers as I braid my hair into a tight fish tail. I was supposed to be ready to go by now but Gemma was kind enough to give me an extra six minutes so my hair looked presentable.

“Are you done yet?” Gemma asks.

Gemma is getting impatient with me and honestly, I don’t blame her, she was becoming the new leader of survivor today and was about to be announced to the entire camp. Gemma loudly knocks on the bathroom door and is yelling at me to get out of here so we can go. I open the door and Gemma practically falls onto me as I step out.

I sit straight up when I hear a loud noise coming from the main living area. I go instantly still when I hear voices, how is harry not up? I slide off the bed and creep towards the door. I try to listen to what people are saying but I can’t understand anything that is being said, until.

“Guys, you are useless, Eve is in here and you know it!” An unmistakeable voice calls out, the voice that belongs to Gemma.

Sorry about the super short chapter I just had to leave it there.
