Short Stories

From living a dream to breaking the laws of physics, these short stories have in mind action, love, death, despair and hope. These realities are at the very least in the same world. I invite you, from the side of the previous story I'm progressing on, read what else was on my mind. many of these stories were from my dreams that were unfinished that I intend to finish right here and now.

11. luscas-Chapter 11: The Plans

Shelia was led to a place where she could sleep for the rest of that night. Aria was very kind to her and told her that they would decide what to do with her tomorrow morning. She also said that that was when they were going to discuss certain plans. "You are more than welcome to help, though I feel it is too much for you to handle. Let me know tomorrow if you want to stay. Otherwise, we will decide over that."

The night was silent with a few grasshoppers singing their melody and a gentle cool breeze. The sky was filled with stars and the moon was at its fullest. She had never seen it so big, but then again, she had never been in the mountains before. Who knew what creatures might be out at night to attack her. Bears? Raccoons? Maybe lone wolves? But Shelia was too tired to think about them and went to sleep, still thinking about all she had just seen.

Shelia was woken by a rough nudge from her side. She opened her eyes to see Luscas' red blazing eyes close to her. She didn't jump, but was startled. "Good, your'e awake. I was beginning to worry if you have ever slept at all." He said, taking a few steps back. Shelia ignored his comment and got up, yawning. The morning had certainly became brighter than yesterday, and the air was still cool, but nearly. "Good morning. What did I miss?" She asked him.

Before he could reply, Aria walked behind him and he he closed his mouth. She was still a pale wolf, but she was not as clear as she was last night. "That depends entirely on what you intend to do." Shelia straightened up instantly, as if Aria were a noble. Aria chuckled and went on. "The others and I had made agreements that, if you decide to leave, we would send an escort to the East. But because the Day of Reckoning is too close, it would be impossible to find someone besides any of us capable of doing so. One of us will have to take you, meaning our original plans may be hijacked."

Even after hearing this, Shelia had made up her mind. "I...I want to stay. I want to help with whatever you are planning." She said with confidence. Aria looked both shocked and proud. "And why's that? You do know the likely hood of you getting killed, right?" She said. Shelia tilted her head. "You didn't even tell me there was a main objective. Or what you were planning to do. But knowing you are all up to something, and after hearing what the missions of the assassins were, I am confident that we are on the same side. With that, I would rather fight with you than flee from problems that would later concern me."

Luscas let out a short laugh. "Even for a pup, you still have the pride of a warrior. I'm glad you feel that way." Shelia felt uplifted from his happiness. "Very well, than. There is something you can do, but you have to promise that you will do your best. If you mess up, who knows what would happen to us all." She said in a serious tone. Shelia gulped and nodded. "Ok. Tell me."
