I Love You and You Love Me. The Wedding of Kixi and Mako Jhasmin.

Finally, peace. The combined forces of the Zhann Alliance commanded by none other than Kixi Rajki's alter ego Kay Blade, stand victorious against the once powerful government of President Drex. Toppled & defeated, along with its main protagonist, the corporate giant Skycom, the United Systems of Sol is on the verge of forming a new government.

A new war is looming on the horizon, one much different than humanity is yet to ever have faced, inevitably bringing tough new challenges that will await both Kixi & Mako in their new pivotal roles. However, with peace at least a temporary reality for now, & the turbulent turmoil of old long past them, the fresh beginnings sees the opportunity for Kixi & longtime fiancée Mako Jhasmin finally marry in a grand ceremony.

15. Chapter 11

Chapter 11.

The sun was setting over the city, colouring not only the sky, but all the metal of the buildings in shades of red and orange. Distant but yet visible, despite the brilliant display, the former Skycom HQ mega structure and all the buildings surrounding it gave off an aura that I would've rather missed out on. Alas, they were all here now, and it seemed inevitable that those buildings in the Argon Central District would be used by the new government – Jhasmin's government.

I turned to face Jhasmin, who came to stand beside me somewhere near the rooftop's edge, and not too far from the larger canopy where the evening's festivities awaited. Her eyes looked over the city too, for a moment amazed, out over far into the distance, she also looked toward the structures at Argon Central that were softly glowing against the backdrop of Celestia City's evening sky; it seemed a fortress of light to the naked eye – though then we seemed to recall what we were here for – our wedding celebrations.

The minute bit of time that I had gotten to spend alone with Jhasmin, seemed like a blur respective to how the day had panned out thus far. Sure we had a lifetime to share with ourselves moving forward, with much time for us to indulge ourselves with life's pleasantries, yet on such a special day, despite it being right to share it with all our loved ones and friends, we felt the urge more than ever to simply be just us. However, the time for the evenings celebrations was almost here – dinner, dancing, speeches, drinking, and then more dancing awaited us. Perhaps afterwards we could have our much needed, 'Kixi & Jhasmin' alone time I silently contemplated.

Making our way back to the smaller canopy, Paige took me to my ready room and freshened up my make-up and hair. By the way she was seated, Natasha waited patiently on what seemed like a very comfortable leather sofa for us to be done, so that we could make our grand entrance. I thanked them all for their hard work today and complimented them on their dresses. They took off the cape that I was wearing, so that I could stay in my wedding dress, and dance the night away with my wife.

"Come on, we have a party to get to." Natasha grabbed my hand and we slowly made our way back out and headed for the much larger of the two canopies. When we turned the corner, I heard some giggling. It was Chris and Kajtia, who were both in an embrace, kissing. They both sprung apart upon noticing us.

"Oops! I'm sorry, my First Lady." Kajtia amended, chuckling, while Chris could not contain the smirk on his face.

"Kajtia, it's really not a problem, we were just heading down to the reception too." I winked at her. "The dress was perfect today, by the way." I went and hugged her.

Afterwards, I glanced and saw Kashia sharing a couple words together with her husband Klorel. There was nothing but respect between Kashia and I now, and I could see that both her and her husband could really see that now, not withstanding the fact that they, being invited to my wedding made that fact more than obvious enough.

I spotted Jak Zed waiting patiently for both Jhasmin and I near the canopy's entrance, and walked straight on over to him. "Thank you for walking Jhasmin down the aisle during our ceremony. It means a lot to both of us. I greatly appreciate you doing that for her." I said patting Jak on the back.

He then turned to me and said, "It's all a grand please my adopted child." I felt my face warming as he said that grinning, the corners of his mouth quirking upward.

"We'd better head down. We don't want to keep our guests waiting too long to see their most astounding brides." he winked. "You ready to be escorted in?" Jak said fully turning over to my direction.

"Why of course, what do I owe the favour to my handsome escort?" I teased. I looped my arm into Jak's, while Jhasmin who had just arrived with Miyuki looped her arm into Jak's other on his left side. We then headed towards the entrance to the larger canopy now turned into a ballroom.

I could already hear all the people before I could see them. There was music playing and lots of people chatting and eating already. I could smell the lovely scent of thousands of blossoms that were hung this morning all around the tables and everywhere. I knew that the wedding organising staff had really gone overboard trying to get everything to be perfect.

I could hear that we were being announced as we walked through the large doors and in. The first thing I saw were the eyes of our family and friends, as well as distinguished quests, plus other citizens and everyone in-between that had been privileged to share in this wonderful occasion with us. They all applauded when we walked down through the centre of the dance floor, with Jak in a the middle, Jhasmin to his left and I to his right. I was looking at Jhasmin mostly, wanting to enjoy these precious moments before we were fully surrounded by our friends and family.

The first people I saw however were Ālrai, Zenon, Shizuka and the rest of the gang. I engulfed them in a huge hug, which now included Jhasmin too. We stood there for a moment, not caring that there were a tonne of other people who we had to greet.

"Honey, I'm so proud of you." Jhasmin's mother Remy said to her daughter.

"I know. Me too." Jhasmin responded proudly. She was truly the last parent any of us had. She came over and embraced me too.

“I can't believe I get to call you my daughter now.”

I smiled. "Me neither."

I turned and greeted the family of Kajtia's nephew and niece as well. Hajkon and Kajtia's older sister Kisijla, who were gushing over my wedding dress, and saying how glad they were that we had picked both Olcadan and Isilda for our page boy and flower girl respectively.

Kajtia's 's father and mother came over and gave us all hugs as well, as did both of Hajkon and Kisijla's siblings. After the short family reunion, I pulled Jhasmin deeper into the crowd. I realised then, how large the dance floor that was cleared in the centre of the room was. I had been too caught up in the decorations and people to notice away. The tables were scattered with intricate floral designs, mostly blue. The table settings were one of the best I'd seen, and there were thousands of lights that hung overhead that looked like stars on the deep blue ceiling. Speaking of stars, large parts of the ceiling were also made of clear glass, allowing the majestic view of the night's clear sky to splendidly enter in.

The musicians were scattered around as different groups, and would be playing during the night. Everyone was dressed in his or her finest, because after all, being mine and Jhasmin's wedding, this wasn't just any wedding, but I wouldn't have cared less. I was here with Jhasmin and that's all that mattered.

Our table was up higher, with my maid of honour and all of my bridesmaids and Jhasmin's, but for right now, we were both just thinking the same thing. "Let's go get something to eat. I know how much you like your food." I giggled.

"Let's." We went up to our table that was intricately laid with the best food imaginable. I nibbled on bits of different things, as different courses were brought out, always looking at Jhasmin. Everything about this day had been perfect so far; I couldn't wait to see what the rest of the night would bring. At the end of our meal, I eyed some strawberry tarts on the table.

"Would you like some, Madame President?" I teased.

"Don't call me that." She grabbed it from me.

I was trying to save some room for cake, so I was being scant on my servings. However, the tarts got the best of me. "Go give some to Isilda." I said after I'd had my full. I handed them over to a waiter and told him to give them to my Kajtia's niece. Then I stood up with my glass, and everyone in the room stopped talking.

"First of all, I would love to make a toast to my beautiful wife." I was smiling like crazy. "I couldn't imagine myself married to anyone else, and I know I could've easily proposed to her earlier, but I wanted it to be special. I wanted to make sure there was every sort of possibility that there'd be an us. So we waited, we faced many hard days, good ones and bad. She's never made my life easy, but that's what I love about her. After all, if the journey were easy, there'd be no story to tell." Again, like with my speech during our vows today, I blew her away.

"So please, Jhasmin, if you'd be so kind, may I have a dance with you?" The audience chuckled.

Jhasmin stood up. "You can have all of them." She said giving me a quick kiss as we made our way to take to the dance floor. The musicians started preparing the song to play for our first dance, while the cameras flashed.

Even in the middle of the night, Celestia City was a bustle of activity, with the lights of vehicles and streets intertwining to form a sort of flowing work of art. Overhead, lit by both city lights and those of occasional hovercars flitting through them, the low lying clouds were a dim sculptured ceiling stretching in all directions, with the same apparent endlessness as the city itself.

We were filled with the scent of some night blooming jasmine that smelled like perfume as we passed several bouquet of flowers. Once on the dance floor, we were greeted by a thundering applause, raising my adrenalin levels a notch, making me feel as if blood were rushing through my head.

A few months back, Jhasmin and I decided we wanted our first dance to be one to remember, so we came to the conclusion that we would have a song called, 'I Love You, You Love Me,' by a late twentieth century artist known as Dalia, from what was then a country, and now a minor Earth province called Croatia. The song pretty summed up every single point of our relationship from the very word go until the present, and how we'd hoped things would be between us moving forward.

“Okay, now let's welcome the happy couple to the dance floor for the first dance." The MC announced. "Ladies and gentleman, may I introduce you to the couple of the hour, Mrs Kixi Rajki Zaneca and Mako Jhasmin Zaneca Rajki.”

We were cheered on by a thunderous applause from the guests and screams of congratulations.

"Yeah anyway, let's hear it for our favorite couple, Kixi and Mako Jhasmin!" The MC finished, the room that had already erupted in a thunderous applause, became even more deafening.

I smiled at my beautiful bride. It had been a long road to this day, but I knew in my heart that it was so worth it.

The applause gradually quietened, and the music began to play as the MC's announcement continued." And now, the traditional first dance, led by the two brides."

“There's something about the way that I can't take my eyes off you Kixi.”

"I'm honoured to have this dance with you." I whispered, extending my hand to the glowing younger woman at my side. I could scarcely look away from those luminous brown eyes.

"For the rest of your life," she shot back, grabbing my hand unceremoniously as we made our way deeper onto the centre of the dance floor. My lips curled into a soft smile, and she swooned.

I am loved
You are loved

Love me

It was a slow song, and it was just Jhasmin and I dancing, but I wasn't afraid anymore of the fact that every single soul in the room was fixed on us, and that I might trip or something. Jhasmin had her arms gently around my shoulders and we just slowly rocked back and forth. For our first dance, that's pretty much all we had to do. I stared up at the most perfect person in the world, smiling, knowing that she was all mine.

"It does seem like a dream," Jhasmin replied. "But you're usually so confident, that you can achieve anything in the end."

“And if you need a reason why Kixi.”

“Because you're all I could ever ask for," I answered seriously. "And dreams don't always come true.”

"This one did," Jhasmin whispered back, lightly squeezing my hand in reply.

“And the way that you tease me Kixi.”

“The way that I want you tonight Jhasmin.”

My arms wrapped around her waist, encircling her with my love. She knew me so well now. I would never have believed that I could ever give myself over to someone so completely. "Kixi, I... I..."

We held on to one another, as though afraid the other would slip away from each other somehow. Despite our differences, the obstacles we'd faced, and the ones we would surely encounter in the future, the adversity of our journey to this sacred day would cement us together forever.

The song ended and cheering and applause filled the room. Jhasmin and I gave each other a sweet loving kiss which earned a few 'awws' from our gathered guests. This really was the best day of our lives.

The MC began speaking again, inviting others from the bridal parties along with their respective partners who were seated nearby onto the dance floor. The music immediately resumed. By the time we were into the second song, the dance floor had become opened for all guests, and began to fill up quickly.

It seemed like such a short time until we had already danced through about four songs. Although both Jhasmin and I were reluctant, it was time to go dance with some others. I let go of her as Kajtia asked me to dance. There was nothing awkward anymore about us dancing, giving my past feelings for my bestie. I told her how happy I was about her and Chris, and that I should expect it to be their turn soon as well.

Jhasmin danced with her mum, and then Chris, Jak and Miyuki, while I took turns dancing with Ālrai and Hajkon, and then Olcadan and Isilda. It was so humorous trying to get Olcadan to dance. His eyes were always wandering towards the huge centrepieces, and the chocolate fountains in the corner. After I let Olcadan go, I looked up only to see Imogen staring at me.

"May I please have this dance, my dear sister?" She asked. I wanted to wrinkle my nose or something, but I accepted it because she asked kindly. "This is quite a party, it seems." She said. "You did quite well, you know."

I stiffened. "I did as well as anyone could ever do, because I love her." I said.

Imogen seemed to be taken aback for a moment. "I'm sorry Kixi, I really am. It was quite obvious that you cared for me when you sought me out, period. I should not have reacted or done what I did when I learnt that you were also Kay Blade. Yet despite what I did, you still helped me. You still believed in me."

“Well that's what big sisters are for right? Either way Imogen, it's more than obvious that I still care for you no different than before you did what you did. Otherwise I would never have invited you to my wedding. I cared for you a lot when we were kids, especially with mum and dad not being there. I just wish I never screwed up. I should have been there for you when you started taking that path and—”

“No Kixi, don't blame yourself. I had choices just like you did. I simply made the wrong ones and got involved with the wrong crowd. There is no use dwelling on the past as it cannot be changed. The future is all that matters, and now I have one all thanks to you Kixi.”

“Thanks Imogen." I said. "I guess that this is as close to an apology as I'm going to get.”

“I'm sorry for all the terrible things I did to you when I didn't know that you were Kay Blade, and then for all the bad things I did when I did know.”

“It's okay, little sis. I was probably being sort of arrogant as well. I'm far from perfect. If only I could be as perfect as my wife. She really completes me. Although if you don't mind, I'd like to have some distance for a while.”

"Okay." She answered and very acceptive. I knew that I could uphold her request. I hoped that someday Imogen would finally turn all the way around. However, her apology was definitely a step in the right direction.

Many others wanted to dance with me as well. Braj'tec Qarr who actually was also Zenon's dad, Zasalamel and then Chris joined me. He congratulated me on my marriage, and I told him good luck for his marriage too, which we all agreed would more than likely be next.

Finally, I was able to snag my wife for another dance. I didn't notice that she had her holo-camera with her until she brought it from behind her back and snapped a photo of me. She smiled, trying to get more shots while I just embarrassingly shuffled my feet. Finally, she graciously took me over to an empty spot on the dance floor.

“How are you, my darling?" Jhasmin's eyes lit up. "Did I mention that you looked so beautiful today that I couldn't hardly tear my eyes away from you?”

“I believe you might have mentioned that.”

“Well, I'm mentioning it now. You are drop-dead gorgeous Kixi. I don't even know how I'll survive the night.”

I lightly punched her. "You better." I challenged. "Did I mention that you're the most stunning chic in this room? None of the rest of them even compare."

“Oh don't they?" She teased. "Not even Paige Langley— daughter of Cerberus over there?”

“Oh Jhasmin! Even before we... you know... before we had to partially lobotomise— heck no. Not even. I would never pick anyone else for a million years.”

"You better believe it Kiks, I'm yours, only me, you and I forever." We spun around in circles for a little while. Even though I normally sucked at dancing, tonight I felt as if I could go on forever.

About an hour later...

The crystal chandeliers inside the canopy's sturdy metal framing sparkled, throwing shards of golden light around the room, while the pitch-perfect music allowed Jhasmin and I, along with the rest of our elegantly dressed guests to carry on conversations as we moved about. Servers smoothly glided through the crowd with silver trays of various canapés and champagne flutes, omnipresent yet invisible at the same time. Men and women, draped in silks and jewels, mingled and chatted in conversations that were either new or trite.

I grabbed a champagne flute from one of the passing trays and sipped, surveying the room, as people occasionally looked my way and either smiled or waved.

More time breezed past. The reception had been going on for well over two and a half hours now, and Jhasmin and I had said our thanks to everybody and had given our speeches. Although Jhasmin's father sadly could not be with us tonight, Jak Zed who had walked her down the aisle was the closest thing she had to one. Now it was time for the father daughter dance, and he would take the honour to dance with her.

Jhasmin and I were slow dancing when Jak stepped on the dance floor.

"May I cut in Kixi?" he asked me. Although he considered me like a daughter as well, the father-daughter like relationship was far stronger between Jhasmin and himself. I took no envy that he had taken more to her in assuming the fatherly role for this occasion, despite neither of my parents sadly not being here tonight.

"Of course Jak" I answered giving Jhasmin a peck on the lips and leaving to go speak to Kajtia.

Jhasmin and Jak began slow dancing while they talked about the day's events, and Jak gushed about Jhasmin's appearance.

"Jhasmin?" Jak asked after a few seconds of comfortable silence

“Yeah Jak?”

“Thank you for allowing me this dance, and for the privilege to have walked you down the aisle earlier today. It means a lot to me and it's been an honour.”

“The honour is all mine Jak. Words are not enough to describe all that you have done for me. Thank you.”

Jak smiled and then laughed, with Jhasmin laughing along with him soon after. The two shared a unique special bond of their own, that much was certain, as the two continued to dance slowly to the rhythm of the song being played.

The song suddenly came to an end and the voice of the MC filled the room. A short break from the dance floor was announced, and eventually, it was time to cut the cake.

"Come on, Mrs. Rajki Zaneca. Let's go get some cake." I blushed at my new name.

"Only if you'll help me cut it first, Mrs. Zaneca Rajki." We both smiled. The cake, as expected was huge. It was mostly white with five round layers decorated with tiny blue and white flowers that trickled down the side. It was nearly taller than me. Both of us stood behind it, and we both cut a piece. The photographers snapped both normal digital pictures and holo pictures, as we shoved pieces of it into each other's mouths. I couldn't help but giggle when Jhasmin got some on her cheek.

After we enjoyed our cake, it was soon cut into many smaller pieces, and served to our many guests who were busy chatting away or drinking. It wasn't all that long by the time the MC returned, inviting everyone once again back onto the dance floor, as the playing of music resumed with it.

Another hour passed and Miyuki's hand fell as her eyes blinked open, unshed tears hiding behind her lids as she stared at her little sister as she danced with me, as well as at us holding onto each another as if we would never let go. All the guests turned to stare at us, and one of the DJs paused, his lips shut as he smiled at us, the dancing couple.

I felt Jhasmin trembling in my arms and tears slid down my cheeks as I sucked in a deep breath. My feet halted when her lips parted, and she let out a deep breath, and than her voice filled the air quietly around us, somehow still projecting it loud enough to all of our guests, even though it was meant for me alone.

"Cause I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life. I'm holding you safe here in this heart of mine," Jhasmin breathed, her arms clutching to me as her eyes closed in happiness, throwing all of her emotions upon me letting me see into her very soul, every locked piece she had ever kept from me. "I can't live without you cause my soul would die..." Jhasmin paused and pulled back enough to see my emotionally shattered look, tears tracking down my face and my eyes beaming with unfathomable love for her. She smiled lovingly at me.

"And know I'm telling the truth," Jhasmin whispered.

“I'll spend the rest of my life loving you..." The music slowed down and all of the sudden it was just Jhasmin and I, no one else around us, the two of us encased in our love alone. "I race-car driver... Züncålazin... best friend... and only love.”

My frame pushed forward and my forehead touched hers as my eyes closed, my hands rushing to touch the sides of her face, my thumbs under her chin. Her hands came up and gripped lovingly onto my wrists.

“Thank you for..." Jhasmin fumbled and with struggle she pushed out a breath. "For loving all of me... especially during times of...”

Jhasmin's words were cut off when I dived forward and captured her trembling lips with mine, my mind already knowing her words.

Kashia blushed slightly and glanced towards me, I then gulped myself as we took in the scene together.

I pulled gently away, Jhasmin's eyes still closed as I stared into her face, her eyes slowly opening to face me.

"You are Mako Jhasmin Zaneca Rajki... a leader... President... an equal to Kay Blade... my best friend and the love of my life. Nothing else matters Jhasmin. You belong with me, God or the life force that exists around us wills it," My lips turned upwards in a smirk as Jhasmin's eyes twinkled, her heart filling with my overflow of affection.

"So it does." Jhasmin whispered and I leaned forward once more, and the second our lips met, the link held between all those present was severed, and Kashia, Klorel, Jak and despite our differences, Imogen, who all stumbled back startled as the other guests blinked feeling whatever it was, that had been in their heads vanish just as quickly as it had come. Kashia smirked adjusting one of the straps on her dress. The power that had severed our link most definitely wasn't Jhasmin.

Silence reigned within the canopy's massive hall like room, as all eyes turned to both Jhasmin and I, as our lips lovingly pulled apart. "Wow," I whispered to her and Jhasmin smirked, her arms twined around my neck possessively.

Suddenly a single pair of hands started clapping that grew contagious as thunderous applauding built and overwhelmed us. We turned and smiled at our guests, each holding the other.

Kashia smirked stopping her hands and Klorel appeared at her side. She heard me as I let out a soft breath, and smiled lovingly down to me.

"Well... the girl knows how to make a statement," Klorel commented, and Kashia nodded happily towards me, and then to her husband.

"So... you think Jhasmin will punish her Züncålazin bride and her Züncålazin masters for seeping into the minds of everyone present?" Klorel asked, an eyebrow raised and Kashia stiffened slightly, her smile never leaving. She pressed her lips together and glanced at him than nervously back at me.

"Well," Kashia remarked and than her lips closed again, unsure of what to reply with. "Jhasmin has done what she had set out to do— she told everyone about her— about Kixi— about their immense bond and true love for each other. Undoubtedly she has given Kixi the greatest present she could have ever received... her love, and Kixi let every single one of us know it in true 'Kixi Rajki' style." Kashia smirked and Klorel nodded at her in agreement.

"Right." He chuckled and she shrugged innocently and caught my gaze across the room. I shook my head slowly at my female Züncålazin master, and Kashia winked with a small smile as joy overtook her.

Several more hours later...

The Reception had now been in full swing for about 6 hours and guests were beginning to head home. Jhasmin and I stood at the door thanking our guests. It was time to say our final goodbyes to everyone. I embraced many of the guests that have chosen to come from all over the Sol System, along with others that had come from beyond the borders of the USS.

I said goodbye to Jhasmin's mum who at the same time wrapped a huge hug around her daughter. Braj'tec and Zasalamel both hugged me warmly in their huge arms, while my little sister Imogen's was more distant. I hoped that over time, we would both learn to heal.

"Thank you so much for coming, thank you for making me such an awesome wedding dress, and thank you for making this day even more special for us," Jhasmin gushed to Intan Kim as she left.

"Kixi, Jhasmin," came a shout from the distance.

I turned around realising it was Klorel and Kashia coming to bid their farewells.

"Hey Kashia, Klorel" I said hugging Kashia and shaking hands with Klorel.

"Awww congrats again guys! We're so happy for you, Klorel and I are gonna get going now, we're leaving for the Züncålazin Temple tomorrow." Kashia informed us.

"Really? Why are you going back so quickly," Jhasmin said hugging both Kashia and Klorel.

"Well you know... the usual... our apprentices need their masters, and we would have been gone for well over a week." Klorel said.

The four of us then talked for about 15 minutes before Klorel and Kashia left.

Finally, I had to depart from the rest of the guests that were left and get ready to leave, although we wouldn't be departing for our honeymoon for at least another month due to Jhasmin's newly commitments as President and Chief of State of the USS. My bridesmaids put me in a simpler yet elegant blue dress that went to my knees, and they quickly redid my hair so that it was now in long waves. We all hugged and said our goodbyes, and they walked down to the foyer with me as I said a final goodbye to the rest of our closest family and friends. At the same time I met up with Jhasmin. She was dressed down in a much simpler dress that went to her knees as well. We then let our families, remaining friends, maids of honours and bridesmaids embrace us one last time.

The hover-limo floated in the heat haze above the landing pad on rooftop. Its front end hung forward like a falcon’s beak dipped in bronze; black windows between shiny silver metal and black trimming. The limo drifted so that it faced its side toward the large canopy, getting close to the corner of the rooftop, gently dropping down at the last minute on the rooftop's small landing pad where we awaited.

I was still holding Jhasmin's hand when we were escorted back to the awaiting limo. Everyone was cheering when the driver finally opened the doors, and motioned us into the limo. I subtly got into the backseat with my wife, while all the others immediately started waving goodbye. I opened the window and waved my goodbyes back to everyone. Kajtia and Chris, Miyuki, Natasha, Shizuka and Zenon, as well as Paige, Ālrai and Jak, everything seemed so perfect in that moment. Kajtia winked at me as we started to ascend away from the small landing pad.

We headed out while the others, mostly the members of our bridal party, were left standing alone near the rooftop's landing pad awaiting their own rides home.

I thought we were both smiling like idiots when the hover-limo finally pulled into Celestia City's busy sky traffic. I rested my head against Jhasmin's shoulder, while I curled up my legs on the seat with my dress and all.

As we gathered speed, I looked out the window and saw the lights of the building's rooftop we had just departed from dim in the distance. Jhasmin curled up in my lap. "I love you Kixi." Her words tumbled out of her mouth, faint as a whisper. She could feel my smile, her head leaning on my chest.

“I love you too, Mako Jhasmin.”

Jhasmin smiled that smile that I loved so much. She got up from my lap and reached out, this time curving both arms around my neck, and ran her fingers through my hair as she leaned her body into mine and claimed another kiss. Her lips parted as our tongues entwined, tasting each other. I wrapped my arms around her slender waist, pulling her even more tightly against me. When we finally parted, I buried my face in her neck and let out a halfgroan.

Jhasmin then pulled back just far enough to look into my eyes. "You are the most amazing woman I have ever met, Kixi, you are the love of my life." Her breath hitched as her throat tightened and she could barely speak. She managed to continue in a quavering voice. "Our adventures as KnM Blade will undoubtedly continue beyond today. More so yours. I don't want to lose the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me."

I stopped and leaned my forehead against hers, cradling her face in my hands once more. Her skin felt soft even in my own soft dainty hands. "Mako Jhasmin, I don't know what I did to deserve someone like you, but you have owned my heart for a very long time. It was our destiny to be together. I believe in destiny, and if we are meant to be together forever, which I strongly believe, whatever perils lie ahead for us, we will survive them no matter what the odds or consequences." I paused as I caressed her face with my thumbs and looked piercingly into her deep brown eyes. "I don't ever want to let you go. I love you with all my heart and soul. You are my everything."

This time the kiss was a fireball that burned with all the fuel of the final months of pain and anguish, that had lead up to the fall of Skycom Corporation. It roared through the emotional debris left by the assault on Sol's capital – the chase that followed of their surviving leaders, futile that last ditched effort had been, painful the outcome despite our glorious triumph. The kiss seared the tormented memories of loss and missed opportunity. It was a fiercely healing kiss, cauterising the wound inflicted on us both, and purging our souls of regret and sorrow, leaving behind the soaring joy of a new beginning, pure and unblemished.

"Wow." Jhasmin breathed into my ear as she clung to me for long, precious moments after the kiss. Her mind sang with the deep contentment of being in my arms once again.

“Wow," I echoed in complete agreement as we leaned against each other, using our new found strength in each other as support. Our hands slowly and silently caressed each other. It was a long minute before I spoke again. "Now that it's finally just us alone, care to continue this in our apartment for the first time as a married couple?”

"Züncålazin!" Jhasmin teased, but softened her words with a gentle caress to my cheek and a squeeze of my hand. She sighed with deep regret, knowing that as the USS's new president, her schedule would be tight, meaning less private time for us.

She swallowed as she considered her next words. "I've got just the thing for our KnM Blade thing. Kay Blade... you can be the President's personal body guard. That way wherever I'm required to go as the president, you'll basically need to be there too. I plan on enjoying your touch for a very long time, Kixi. That is the perfect way to keep making it so... and... that way... I won't be denied."

She leaned her head back and raked me with a smoldering look from head to toe. Her eyes twinkled as she tilted her chin and arched a suggestive eyebrow. "I can't thank you enough for today Kixi, I love you so much." Jhasmin gushed.

“Baby, you have nothing to thank me for, I love you more." I said wrapping my arms around my new wife's waist. "And that idea regarding KnM Blade is an awesome idea. Madame President, allow me to introduce to you your new personal bodyguard.”

In knowing for certain that the limo driver couldn't see us in any way or form, I decided to be a little on the creative side in answering her question regarding my alter ego.

My face, it practically absorbed itself into my skin, my Nanotech Facial Veil performing its shape shifting abilities as it took root across my entire facial features. She stared at me, but not in awe at what I was doing, for not only had I executed the transformation into Kay Blade and back on countless occasions, she too possessed the same ability to transform herself into her own alter ego of eM Blade. Rather she was stoked at the simple fact I had chosen to carry it out now, in response to her request.

My head buckled in a momentary pain, and the facial image of me as Kixi Rajki slowly lost its humanoid form. It melted into a gelatinous puddle, but did not spill itself off my body and onto the floor, but instead reformed itself into another face within a matter of seconds, that of Kay Blade, my alter ego.

Jhasmin let out a slight chuckle in response, most certainly impressed at my creativity, before I quickly repeated the process, and reverted my facial appearance back to my original self – Kixi Rajki.

We were so immersed in our 'Kixi and Jhasmin' time, that we didn't even notice that the Limo had arrived near our apartment complex, and that it had already gracefully touched down. "Oh!" I yelped when the driver opened the door to let us out, the expression plastered all over his face was totally priceless. We stepped out after the driver opened the door, thanked him and said our goodbyes.

As I watched the hover-limo rise off and merge back into the constant seemingly busy sky traffic, I turned and started walking back to our apartment with Jhasmin, confident that her eyes were irresistibly glued to my backside. I hesitated momentarily, then looked back and said with a seductive smile, "Remember, I always keep my promises."

Walking back to our apartment with her, I knew the stupid grin on my face would generate no end to just how hard Jhasmin would work me in bed. She just couldn't help it, and simple fact was that I liked it all the while.

Today had been magical, and Jhasmin and I were looking forward to our life together.
