12. Distraction?

A/N: Oh, hello there. I finally updated this book... How long did I- OH! A YEAR! WOW! Ha, sorry here is my apology for not updating. Love you guys <3

After that fiasco happened I headed out the school with Cole and Lily. "We so, have to go clubbing!" Lily yelled happily. I frowned at that idea. I've never really liked going to parties. It's all too much for me. I looked at the floor and I felt a strong arm wrapping around my waist. I look up to meet Cole's eyes which were showing me so many emotions. I smiled softly at him and he smiled back down at me. His forest green eyes were shining brightly.

"So, we have to go!" Lily squealed. "Don't go to Zander's house at all and just come to my house with Cole."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan." Cole chimes in and looks at me. He raised an eyebrow. "You coming?"

Ugh, I know this is gonna end badly but I need a distraction. Maybe it will help me get over things? If Cole is going then I'm going. "Fine." I gave in and smiled like a kid who got their candy.

We walked to Lily's house talking and laughing together. Once we got there she opened the door and closed it behind us. We walked upstairs to her room and went inside. We all started laughing about things from our past. "We should get ready." Lily finally says looking at the time. I nod and noticed I didn't bring anything to wear.

"I have noth-"

"Don't worry girl, I got you."She winked at me and went through her wardrobe. Cole looked down and blush started to form on his cheeks. Cutie.

"I should get out right?" He said pointing his thumb at the door. Lily chuckled as I laughed.

"No, you can stay and watch us get change," I said in a sarcastic voice.

"Really?!" Cole's face brightens up as a smirk formed on his lips. I shook my head and laughed.

"I was being sarcastic," I said laughing some more. I held my stomach and looked at Cole who was pouting.

"Fine, I'll wait in the living room." He said sadly. He walked to the door and opened it. Once he slammed it shut I quickly snapped my head towards Lily. She gave that look when you see your crush and your friend his making the smug look or whatever. That's exactly what she's doing right now.

"Let's get you dressed!" She squealed and got up. I was ready to be glamoured up by Lily.

Once we were done getting changed she let me look in the mirror. I walked to it and the first thing I noticed was my face. It was completely different. Some makeup was here and there but it was normal, not bold and I liked it. Then I saw my outfit. I was shocked at what I was wearing.

"Lily, I'm never letting you dress me up ever again," I said looking up and down at my body in the mirror. I heard her chuckle in the background.

"You like it, Ava, shut up." She said smiling widely.

I rolled my eyes playfully. I had a red dress on and back thigh high heels. The dress was so short that I pulled it down a bit. I turned around to look at Lily.

"I hope this club will distract me," I said breathing in and out.

"It will, and trust me it will help you." She smiled softly at me. Okay, I guess it's time to go. I'm scared a bit but I hope this helps me. I don't want to deal with no drama and I just wanna have fun a bit. This will do.
