Baby Mine

Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla was born to Lana Maria Parrilla and has an unknown father. Lana didn't want to expose her baby to celebrity life so gave lil Addie up for adoption. When Adelaide was one Lana decided to look for her baby and finds Addie just a few weeks before her third birthday. It was difficult at first but a happy ending is at the end of the tunnel

38. The Queen Sings

Sean’s POV

It was a long day from the start but at the end of the day I could tell that Lana had been given the gift of another wonderful birthday. Last year she had found out she was pregnant…this year we bought the things to assemble another baby’s nursery. I called Colin and Marcus to help me carry everything upstairs into the empty blue guest room. Lana finishes painting our son’s name on the way just as I finish assembling the white crib. All the furniture was white and all new furniture had to be bought because none of our friends could spare any anytime soon.

Lana puts brand new sheets on the bed and starts putting away all new clothes. She sings as she works.

“Not designer like Addie’s or Allie’s.”

“No because Eduardo and my dress maker only make girl baby clothes and this is too advanced. Eduardo is making costumes for a new show. And my dress maker is currently out of a job because I’m not an actress anymore.”

“Do you ever think us actors will ever get back in the business?”
“Sean, we all miss it just as much as you do but family comes first. I’m sure once all twelve babies are in school we’ll go back and work. I never knew my seventh series would be my last.”

“Lana, can you believe seven actors left the business at the same time?”
“I do believe it because seven did. Sean, family comes first.”

“I know that but I miss working. I miss acting. Our children and you are the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m not rushing anything but I can’t wait until they’re in school and we’re back at work. How old were you when Once started?”

“I was 25. It ended right before I was 32. So, I was 24 almost 25.”

“Do you miss acting?”
“Yes, I started acting when I was 20. Anyway, I need to finish putting together the room.”

“What if it’s a girl?”
“I have a good feeling that it’s a boy.”

“Lana, it is your birthday. So, you stay here in the nursery and I’m going to whip up a birthday surprise.”

I rush to the kitchen and find Addie looking for a snack. I pull out chocolate cake mix and pull out popcorn. I select a movie on Netflix and set everything up for movie night. I put a pepperoni and mushroom pizza in the oven along with the cake and pour three glasses of root beer. With everything set up and the cake in the oven I run back upstairs to our son’s nursery. Lana isn’t there. I find her rocking Allison and singing. Addie’s sitting on the floor. I hadn’t even noticed she wasn’t still in the kitchen.

“Sean, shush. Allison’s sleeping.”

“If you’ll come downstairs my lady, I have a surprise waiting for you.”

Lana puts Allison in her crib and picks up Addie. Our daughter is silent as we walk down the stairs and into the living room. Lana stares at the bowls of popcorn, she stares at the pizza and root beer all ready to eat. She turns to me and gives me a kiss.

We both laugh and kiss again. Addie wriggles out of her mother’s arms and plops down on the couch. Lana sits beside me but Addie wriggles in between. I turn on the Little Mermaid and we eat pizza. Then Lana turns on Sleeping Beauty. The oven dings and I rush to it. I pull out the cake and put it on a plate. I put icing on it and two candles. A number 3 candle and a number 2 candle. Addie comes in and watches me.

“What’s that?”
“It’s a cake.”

“Is it for Mommy?”

“Yes, come on.”

Addie turns off the lights and Lana turns around and stares as Addie and I walk in with the chocolate cake.

“Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday dear Mommy

Happy birthday to you.”

Lana blows out the candles and I slice the cake. We sit down to enjoy the cake and I whisper.

“What did you wish for?”
“I already have all that I want.”

“So, you wished for this to never end?”

“Can’t say or it won’t come true.”

“Lana I’ve never heard you sing. It is your birthday won’t you sing?”

“You have heard me sing…I sang in the musical episode. I was singing upstairs, I sang while working.”

“La de do…la de dum…la de dee. Isn’t singing. I’ve never heard you sing.”

“Mommy sing please?”

Addie climbs up into Lana’s and Lana takes a deep breath. I wrap my arm around my wife and kiss her cheek. Addie wrinkles her nose.

“I’m going to sing a song that my mother used to sing to me. I sang it to Isaiah before he was born and I sang it to you Addie before you were born and before I gave you away. I didn’t sing it for Allie and I will sing it for Sammy.”

“Sing Mommy.”

“Come on Lana I know you can sing. I heard you in the musical episode.”

“Fine I’ll sing.

Mirror Mirror could not be clearer

That love is waste of time

I’m here to tell you with love’s magic spell

You can’t match the power of mine

Down with love

Down with hope

Don’t need blind faith to cope

Or inspiring songs in my heart

Got the magic I need for my darkest of deeds

Love at times can entrance but….”
“Lana…I’m serious. Sing!”

“I am singing.”

I give Lana the serious face and she laughs. Addie gives her the evil eye and Lana starts singing.

“Fine! I’ll sing!

Constant as the stars above

Always know that you are loved

And my love shining through you

Will help you make your dreams come true

Will make your dreams come true

The lamb lies down to rest its head

On its mother’s downy bed

Dolphin plays in the moonlight

Butterfly dreams of a violet rose

Dreams of a violet rose.

I’ll cradle you in my arms tonight

As sun embraces the moonlight

The clouds will carry us home tonight

Our love will run deep like the sea

Run deep like the sea….

Constant as the stars above

Always know that you are loved

And my love shining through you…

Will help you make your dreams come true

Will make you dreams come true

And never forget that I love you

Never forget that I love you

My love for you is true.”

“Mommy that was beautiful.”

Lana turns to me and I wipe away the tears. Lana has a beautiful voice…she should’ve become a singer instead of an actress. Addie falls asleep towards midnight and so I carry her to bed. Lana comes in and kisses our daughter’s head.

“Sean it’s been a wonderful birthday but I think it’s time to go off to dream world.”

“Yes, it’s about that time.”

I pull Lana in for a kiss and receive the best kiss I’ve ever gotten from my beautiful wife. The best kiss I’ve ever received in the whole world.

“That was a good kiss.”

“Better than this one.”

She kisses me again and I’m speechless.

“No, that one was better.”

She kisses me again and we only break for air. I pick her up and carry her to our room. We make out before closing our eyes and before I cradle my wife in my arms.
