Peculiar Poetry

Poetry with and without reason and rhyme.
Strange is what I strive for.
Expect lyrics and limericks, free verse and format.
Be prepared for bubbly and boiled, terrifying and horrifying.
Keep an eye out for those that provoke your thoughts, and some that bear no thought at all.
Many written for class, and others without much of it.
Feel free. There are no boundaries. Just think.
Consider, Ponder, Wonder, Imagine.
Argue, Oppose, Debate, Defend.
Perhaps you will be offended.
That's good.
Think about that.
Learn more of what you think.
How you think.
Take what you can from what you hate.
I don't seek to preach.
I only speak my mind.
A mind most peculiar.

27. "Uncanny Valley"

A land neither plains nor forest

Untouched by dark and light

Where blades wave like hands, but aren't

And nothing will, but might

Come with me to the Uncanny Valley

A place so wrong, yet right

Deprived of wisdom and folly

Please consider my humble invite

Let us lie upon the lush green weeds

And gaze into the starless night

As the wind sings us sweet melodies

While it surrounds and embraces us tight

Nothing can happen to us here

Yet your mind entangles with fright

Surely, there is nothing to fear

For this place lacks both bark and bite

Yet we leave the valley unsettled

Although we've no idea why

With what intricate ruse have we meddled?
