1. The summer-song

“Alright! Remember to answer all questions in your history book, till next week!” The teacher yelled. We just had history and just got a break, I was sitting on a table and talking with Alex and Lou. They are my friends, we all like to play music...that’s kind of how we all meet each other. Sometimes when the school is holding some kind of event and they need a band we always sign up, many people know us some of them are even our fans. *Dree dree!* “Well time for music” Lou said with a sigh “Why are you sighing?” I asked “I thought you liked music” “Heck yeah I do! I just don’t like singing, I wanna play the drums instead” She said “I see...” I said to myself. When we came to the music room the class already stood there, our music teacher is usually a little late. After like 4 minutes our teacher finally came, we sat on our seats and began to small talk “Hey! Hey! Everybody! It’s up here it’s happening” The teacher said loud, we all looked up “Okay so summer holiday is just around the corner….” “Actually it’s in about month” One of the smart girls said (Our class is kinda made in groups, like: there’s the nerdy, the gamer, the sporty, the makeup freaks and the ones that play music. That’s us heh)….but there’s this one girl in our class that I can’t really put my head around, she’s like….I don’t know...the shy type I mean if you didn’t know her you would probably think she was a nerd because she haves this kind of nerdish look like she wears glasses and stuff...like she’s never with somebody and she never says something in class. And I was actually sitting next to her and she smelled nice “As I said, summer holiday is just around the corner and just before we go, the 8th graders is the one’s who is incharge of singing the summer-song” “Aaargh! Why do we have to do it?” Was there a boy who asked irritated. I didn’t have a problem, because I already sang, I was the lead singer in our band. “Well kids there’s no way out, suck it up. I’m going to hand out the papers now” The teacher said, we were handed a piece of paper where the summer-song was on. ‘well this is an easy one’ I thought “Okay everybody if you will please stand up, we are only going to practise some of the song today and some of the rest next week” We stood up and that’s when I noticed the shy girl, she was shorter than me, not that much just 4 or 5 centimeters or so. Our teacher began to sing and then we came, the shy girl had a light singing voice but even if it was a little light it was good and stood out nicely. We came to a spot in the song where you need to make your voice lighter (kind of like a hill, you go up/make your voice lighter. Kind of like that if you know what I mean) But when we came to that spot the shy girl stopped singing, and then she didn’t sing the rest of the class, she just made the words with her lips with no sound. When we were done with school and about to go home I remembered...“Hey you guys go ahead, I gotta go back to our classroom. I forgot my keys to my bike” “Okay” Alex said. I ran up stairs and down halls, and when I came to our classroom I heard a voice…..it was singing….it was…..the shy girl’s voice, she was singing the summer-song. I just kinda stood there and listen to her voice, it was so nice and soft I wondered how it sounded when she talked normally. And then I was caught, she stared at me with wide eyes and was speech less. “...Uuuh I was…...My….My keys, I forgot my keys” I said. I walked in and over to my desk and took my keys “Uuuuh your…..you have a really nice voice when you sing” I said “Oh….uhm...thank you…” She said quiet “....But i’m not really good at singing” “Yeah you are” I said “No, i don’t think i can sing this part good” She said and pointed at the part where there was a hill “Oh that part, I think it’s pretty easy...I can help you if you want. Kinda like music class, just that it’s me that are the teacher” I said “Yeah, okay. When are we gonna meet?” She asked “....Maybe after school tomorrow?” I said “Sure” She packed her things and walked out, I took my keys and walked the same way. When I biked home I was thinking ‘It’s actually nice to hear the shy girl’s voice, I wonder if i’m going to know her just by teaching her how to sing’
