Traveling Abroad: Return to Paradise

Seoul, South Korea is the place Amber and Emily have deemed paradise. The two visited last year and had the time of their lives. They were able to explore a new city outside of the United States, made friends, and got boyfriends. Not to mention they were able to hang out with Amber's awesome cousin Nari, who also snagged a boyfriend. Now, as their boyfriends are rising in fame thanks to being in the group BTS, how will their relationships hold? Will this summer in paradise be even better than the last?

11. Soulmates?

“So, girls, how was your day?” Nari asks, placing plates of food on the table.

“So, wonderful,” I smile, dishing out the portions of food I want.

“The boys promised to teach us a dance soon,” Emily takes a sip of her water. “That will be pretty cool.” She starts dishing out her food portions.

“I bet you will do great at dancing,” Nari sits down and fills her plate with what she wants to eat.

“Eh, it looks so complicated,” I shove some food into my mouth.

“I agree. We both really took in the lesson, and still couldn’t do it if you asked,” Emily chuckles.

“Moving past dancing,” Nari smiles. “How are your boyfriends?”

“Well, the company is letting us stay together,” I take a gulp of my soda. “That is a big boast for us.”

“Namjoon and I had our first kiss, and second,” Emily’s cheeks redden, and she shoves her face to hide it.

“Cute,” Nari smiles. “How is my cousin? I know you’ve had struggles.”

“I’m better,” I nod. “Being here helps. Taehyung and Yoongi are good for my health. I can talk about everything that bothers me out to them. Tae gets relationship stuff, while Yoongi gets life troubles. It is very nice.”

“Good argument right there if our parents are hesitant to let us move here,” Emily says.

“I don’t want to argue with them,” I sigh. “They just have to accept I love Taehyung and want to be with him.”

“Don’t blame you,” Nari says. “He is attractive, funny, sweet, and more. He’s the whole package.”

“He is,” I smile, staring at my food. “Ugh, being with him today is what I needed.”

“What about you, Nari?” Emily speaks up.

          “What about me?” Nari chuckles.

          “You and Seokjin, silly.”

“Oh, yes, Jinnie. Ah, we are lovely. I never mentioned how he would stop by during my lunch breaks to visit me. Truly the sweetest.”

“What do you guys think about soulmates?” I resume my eating.

“Soulmates, hm?” Nari nods a few times. “I believe in them. I believe every person has another one out there that they are meant to be with.”

“Yeah,” Emily agrees. “It may take a while to find them, but once you do, life is so much brighter.”

“How do you know you’ve found them, though?” I take a small sip of my soda.

“That’s a good question,” Emily says. “Are soulmates limited to lovers, or can it be all relationships?”

Nari chuckles, wiping her mouth with a napkin. “From my own understanding, soulmates range from all relationships outside of family. You two, in my mind, our soulmates. Meant to be best friends.”

“I believe that,” I smile at Emily. Then, Taehyung is my soulmate as well.”

“Yes, you two were meant to fall in love,” Nari nods. “You two are what most people would think of as soulmates. A perfect match.”

I smile, “I never would have thought I would ever meet my soulmate. Besides my best friend one.”

“What about Yoongi?” Emily asks. “Namjoon would be my soulmate, of course. But, Amber, you and Yoongi, seem to need each other.”

“Ah, yeah,” I shove more into my mouth.

“Yoongi and Amber are just that,” Nari says. “Two souls that need one another. I guess, in a way, that makes them soulmates.”

“Hold on,” I shake my head, a smile on my lips. “I don’t think my question was ever answered. How do I know Taehyung is my, true soulmate, or whatever you want to call it?”

“Oh, yes,” Nari takes a long sip of her tea. “I think you can figure that out by answering a simple question. Do you see yourself marrying Taehyung?”

My heart skips a beat as I feel the heat take over my face. The first action to come to mind is pile food into my mouth, and so I do. It gives me time to calm my mind and collect my thoughts.

Do I want to marry Taehyung? I guess, many years down the line, I do see myself married to Taehyung. He makes me feel things no other boy has made me feel before.

“Amber?” Nari waves her hand in front of my face.

I swallow the food in my mouth and take a slow breath. “Sorry. The question caught me off guard. But, yes, I do see myself marrying Tae.”

          “Well, that answers your question.”

“I bet he can see the same thing happening between you two one day,” Emily smiles.

“If we keep talking about this, I am going to explode,” I bring my glass of soda to my lips. “So, how about plans for tomorrow?”

“Just working,” Nari shrugs. “Back to the studio with you two?”

“Yeah,” Emily nods. “I’m bring my camera this time, and every time from now on.”

“I think I’ll bring my poem journal,” I take a breath. “Feeling in the mood for some poems.”

“This summer is off to a wonderful start for you two,” Nari giggles.

          “It is. It really is.”

The other chapter I promised for today! I love when the three girls have conversations. Just something about it makes me so happy. Hope you enjoyed it! :D
