Traveling Abroad: Return to Paradise

Seoul, South Korea is the place Amber and Emily have deemed paradise. The two visited last year and had the time of their lives. They were able to explore a new city outside of the United States, made friends, and got boyfriends. Not to mention they were able to hang out with Amber's awesome cousin Nari, who also snagged a boyfriend. Now, as their boyfriends are rising in fame thanks to being in the group BTS, how will their relationships hold? Will this summer in paradise be even better than the last?

8. Best Friend Talk

*~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~*

“This is so boring,” I groan, leaning back in the balcony chair.

“We are almost done,” Emily looks up for her papers.

I rub the bridge of my nose, “I wish it was raining. Then it would feel better that we stayed home. Stayed away from Tae.”

“We got good morning calls, so that helps.”

“It was very cute and sweet,” I smile, looking out at the city. “I’m ready for my surprise tomorrow.”

“I like spending time alone, though. Best friends with boyfriends can drift apart, and I don’t want that to happen to us.”

“Ah, now you are worrying,” I look over at Emily. “We won’t drift apart. I promise.”

“Even when you move over here?”

“We, we are going to move over here together. I couldn’t leave you in America.”

“Ah, well, I guess I couldn’t be away from you too long,” she smiles. “I’d have to come back to see Namjoon too much, so it would be easiest.”

“See, moving here would be a great idea. Regardless of what my parents say.”

          “Such a rebel,” she laughs.

“Can I tell you something personal?” I bite my lip and look back out at the city.

          “How personal?”

“About my relationship. It won’t be super personal.”

“I feel so conflicted in the pace I want for my relationship. We’ve only been in the same country a few months, yet I feel so close and connect to him. I want to take it slow, not do anything crazy. Yet, when I see him on stage or whatever, being V, I just feel such strong feelings of wanting to do so much more.” I groan, dropping my head into my hands. “Being in young love stinks.”

“Aw, that’s actually kind of sweet because you don’t want to ruin anything. However, I do see how it sucks. You just have to go with the flow.”

“I try, and Tae is so cute, and overly sweet, that it always stops before it goes too far. It did last year. I wanted a kiss so bad.”

“He just wants to protect you. You are his fragile girlfriend.”

“Hey,” I lift my head up and glare at my friend.

“Kidding,” she holds up her hands in defense. “You mean the world to him, and he knows how innocent you are. Tell him if you want more.”

I take a deep breath and relax, “I am so sorry for bringing this up on our second full day here.”

“Don’t be!” Emily laughs. “Let it out. Tell me. I’m here to help with almost everything.”

“I just wish that he wasn’t so hot and cute at the same times. It makes it so much harder.”

“That’s why you love him though. His personality that is all over the place.”

“I guess so,” I shrug. “I don’t want to talk about why I love him, though. I know why, he’s my Taehyung. He’s there for me.”

          “That’s fine.”

“What about you and Namjoon? Are you two good? Anything you want to talk about?”

“The two of us are fine,” she smiles. “Nothing is bothering me. Other than dying to see them in the studio.”

“That is going to be very nice. I want to learn to dance.”

“Well, we have to finish this stupid schoolwork.”

I look back down at my papers on the table. “It’s so boring, but we are almost done.”

“Yes, and then we can hang out with our boys every day.”

“Next summer, we won’t have to worry about shit like this. We are free after this school year.”

“I’ll believe it when it happens.”

“We need to tell our parents about our plans to move,” I run a hand through my curls as best I can.

“Someone is keeping us off track,” Emily chuckles. “We can tell them after they meet our boyfriends.”

“Ah, yeah, that would be a good idea,” I pick up my pencil. “This summer has been so crazy so far.”

“I like it. It means it’s only bound to be awesome.”

I smile, “I guess it does.”

“Ready to finish up our schoolwork?”

“I am. Let’s finish this shit.”

Sorry it has been a little bit since I have updated this. Just been a bit busy and always losing track of time. Hope you enjoyed this! I'll try to get another chapter out in the next few days. :D
