5. -5- Michael's Garage

Michael leads me and Calum to his garage down the road. I've never been in his garage, just his house once, but Aerianna has. Michael and I were five,Aerianna seven, and Michael invited me and her over. Mrs. Clifford asked Aerianna to get some water bottles out of the garage, and she was in awe at the awesome garage. It has about three arcade games, not including the air hockey and ski ball. There's a fridge,a television,a ripped up couch,a dog bed,a few tables and fuzzy rugs everywhere. Michael's phone rings and he answers it.
Calum drags me over to the couch and pulls my sleeve up,making me wince. "What made you do this?" He asks, plainly.
"Nothing." I reply.
"Is a person?" He asks,a little louder.
 "No one." I answer.
"Who?" He asks.
"No one." I repeat.
"Who did this?!" He asks, tears filling his eyes.
"No one!" I say, harshly, and pull away my arm, then wincing.
"Stop saying it's no one if you and I know damn well it's someone." Calum says. "Shelby." Michael says, putting his phone on a table.
"What?" Calum asks.
"Shelby. Shelby Landon. She's picking on Kayla." I stand up and rush toward Michael. "How do you fucking know?" I whisper.
"I watched. How could you let her get to you?" He asks, his arms on my shoulders now. "I know she's right. He's just being nice." I reply.
"She's not right. You need to understand that,Kayla. He likes you. Trust me on this one." Michael reassures me.
"I'm not sure I can." I say, tears fill my eyes. His face softens like the kitten he is. He knows why I can't trust anyone.
I climb in my bedroom window and climb into bed,and begin to think about this day and how horribly wrong it has gone.
"Tomorrow's a new day,Kayla," I think. I stare at the dark ceiling, then over to the picture frame on my nightstand. Me,laughing my ass off. Him,that asshole, holding me bridal style, laughing as well. Her,the worst person on the face of the earth, laughing too. Why the fuck was she there anyway? I reach over and quietly turn the frame over. I face the wall. "Tomorrow's a new day."
