“If you drive down to the bottom of this road then turn right you will see it.’

“Really; so it’s not that far then.’ The man knew how far it was, he had taken many boys there before.’

He drove along the road pretending that he hadn’t seen the reservoir.

“There it is Mister; over there.’

The man drove into the park he looked all around before getting out.’

The park was deserted and it was starting to get dark.

“I wonder where Katie is; come with me she must have gone to the toilet; I told her to wait for me here.’

“The young boy followed the man to the men’s toilet then went inside.’

“Your daughter won’t be in this toilet said the boy this is for boys.’

“I need to go said the man as he stood at the urinal and unbuttoned his flies.

“Can I have my ten bob now?’

“Have you ever had a ten bob note before said the man.’

“Never ever replied the boy; me fatha only works for two pound a week.’

“Well there is something else I want you to do for me then you can have the money.’

“What’s that?’

“Well do you see this said the man as he turned around from the urinal with a huge erection. “ Here take this in your hand and move it up and down for me.’

The boy did as he was told as the man held out the ten bob note in his hand.

“Faster said the man; the boy had to grab the swollen member with both hands and worked away frantically.

Suddenly the man jerked his body and a fluid emitted from it onto the boys jumper.

“Look at that, it looks like snot.’

Here said the man as he took a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned himself then the boy. He did up his flies then gave the boy the ten shilling note. The boy had never seen as much money in his whole life. He stared at it as the man left the toilet.

You can find your way from here can’t you boy said the man as he got back into the car.’

“I suppose I can; you said you’d take me back though.’

“Well I would have but my daughter must be at another park or she will be waiting at home for me.’

There’s some shops nearby surely; you’ll want to spend that ten bob won’t you?’

“Aye; I’m ganna buy fish and chips and a big bottle of pop for me self.’

“Go on then off you go.’

“The boy ran up the street onto Marina Avenue as the man got into his car and drove away.’

The boy never stopped running until he reached Gerry’s fish shop he ran inside then looked at the woman who he knew; Ella Samson lived on West Percy Road She knew Billy Thompson’s mother Kitty. She looked down at the six year old as he got his breath back.’

“What can I get you Billy?’

Can I have one of those big fish and a bag of chips wi batter on em; and oh aye a big bottle of lemonade as well.

“Is that all?’

“Aye it’s for me; Billy handed her the ten bob note.’

“Where did you get this Billy; your mother didn’t give you it because she’s been over to my house this afternoon askin’ if she could borrow a few bob.’

It’s mine a tell yer; this bloke gave it to me.’
