Olympia is the perfect angel. Sitting in the clouds, watching over her brother whilst he roams the Earth. But one day, she makes a mistake. The worst mistake anyone could possibly make.
She has no choice.
She has to fall.
Fall from Heaven.

8. Chapter 8

My heart began to pound. Maybe there was a way out.

"What?!" I had so many questions, but that's the one that spilled out first.

"From God," Lillian said.

Tears of guilt, happiness, stress and worry poured down my face.

"He can't reach you anymore." She continued. I nodded, "But, he knows I'm down here- but he knows I haven't betrayed him. He says he'll give you another chance."

I wanted to dance, jump, leap, scream thanks, but instead, I sat quietly, and stared into her blue eyes, begging her to continue.

"He heard us. He heard... You, really. He sees your desperation. Says your his child, and he'll help you."

A sound escaped me, I'm not really sure what it was- a scream, thank you, a laugh, but a sob.

"But Olympia, you have to understand you are walking on very thin ice. Tip-toeing on eggshells."

I knew that. But it will be fine. I can go back to Heaven now, and say how sorry I am, how I didn't know what I was thinking, how I love Heaven more than anything. I can watch over my brother again. And love.

"He's going to let you fall." Lillian said.

"WHAT?" I yelled.

She nodded.

"Fall?! What do you mean, FALL?"

"He has assigned you a job." She continued, "Do you think he'd just let you back after what you've done to him?!"

I looked down in shame.

"No!" She whispered, "He's sending you down to Earth, on a mission, to see if you're good enough to return."

"What is this mission?" I asked.

Lillian took a sharp intake of breath.
