13. Chapter Thirteen

Emma's P.O.V.

~ one week later ~

"Okay so you got everything?," Lily asked, walking me to the front door.

"Yes, and you don't have any more questions about the company?," I asked.

She shook her head.

"Good, well goodbye for three days girl. I'll miss you," I said, hugging her.

"Me too," she said, hugging back.

I half smiled and put my bag on my shoulder.

She waved as I got into my car, backed up, and gassed away towards the airport.

I couldn't wait to see my sisters! It's been way too long since I saw them.

My phone rang and I checked the caller ID. It was a random number so I ignored it.

Once at the airport, I quickly made my way through the security line, and into the waiting room, where they quickly called out my flight.

I found my way to my seat, realizing I'll have to share it with some stranger.

Eventually the stranger came to his seat, blonde hair and....

"Niall?," I asked,

He turned to look at me.

"Hi! Nice to see you again, um...Emma right?," he asked.

"Yes! You remember...," I said, slightly blushing.

"Of course I do! Not everyday someone needs me as a shoulder to cry on," he winked.

"Oh yeah...haha," I laughed nervously.

"How's everything? Have you heard from him?," he asked.

"You mean the boy that I was running after?," I asked.

Niall nodded.

"Nope. He won't answer my calls, or texts," I sighed.

"I'm sorry, guess he doesn't see what a huge mistake he's making," Niall said.

"It's more complicated then that Niall," I sighed.

"May I have your attention please. We will be taking off in five minutes. Please fasten your seat-belts and enjoy the ride. We will try our best to make this flight one of your best flights ever. Thank you for choosing American Airlines," the captain said.

Niall and I put our seat-belts on.

"So where are you heading to exactly?," Niall asked.

"My home. I live in Los Angeles, I only study and work in New York," I answered.

"Oh, so you're going over to visit your family for the weekend, huh?"

"Yes. What about you? What brings you back to America?"

"I'm recording a new album, and I'm meeting up with a few artists here," he said.

"Oh nice!," I smiled.

"Perhaps you'd like to hang out?," he asked.

I sighed.

"I don't want to be rude but no, I'm going home because my sisters baby is due, and she wants me there with her-"

"Don't explain yourself! You don't need to," Niall smiled.

I smiled too.

"Is it gonna be a girl or a boy?," he asked.

"We still don't know, that's the surprise," I smiled.

"What is she hoping for?"

"A girl."

Niall nodded.

"I hope all goes well and it'll be a happy, healthy baby," he said.

"Thank you. I'll tell my sister that, "I smiled again.

"Well if you pardon me, I've had a long day and I really do need a nap," he said.

"Of course!," I said.

He chuckled, and we shared a small eye contact moment.

"Well, goodnight," he grinned.

"Have a nice nap," I said.

He smiled and closed his eyes.

I pulled out my headphones and plugged them into my phone, turning on some music, to which I quickly fell asleep too.

            *                                              *                                            *                                                    *

"Emma??," I heard his voice.

"Harry?," I asked.

"No, Emma, it's me," I heard a slightly different voice.

I opened my eyes, to look into the baby-blue eyes of Niall.

"Oh, I'm sorry Niall...for a second there I thought I was with...with...-"

"Harry?," he asked.

"Is he that guy? The one that took off?"

I nodded.

"You must miss him a lot."

"Weirdly, I do," I said.

"Why weirdly?"

"It's...complicated," I sighed, looking at Niall.

"It's okay, I don't want to brat about anything," he said.

"You're not! It's just's personal, you know," I said.

"I totally understand. By the way...we here!," he said, pointing out the window.

I realized then that people were making their way to the exit.

"Oh gosh! Well let's get off before they kick us out," I said.

Niall grinned a bit.

We got our things and exited the plane, coming out to a full crowd of screaming girls.

"Are they your fans?," I asked.

Niall nodded.

"Well I think I'll get going to my home then," I said.

Niall grabbed my hand.

"Give me your number," he said, giving me his phone.

I blushed and typed in my number.

"You've got mine right?," he asked.

I nodded.

"Remember if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm only one call away," he smiled.

"Thank you Niall," I said, smiling back.

He came closer and pulled me into himself, hugging me tightly.

"Stay strong and don't give up hope on Harry," he said.

I nodded.

"Thank you," I said.

Niall nodded this time, and took off in his own direction.

I made my way to a different exit to avoid the fan-crowd. I quickly got a taxi and gave him the address to my family house.

We lived in between Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, in a nice quiet subdivision.

As the taxi cab neared my house, I started getting more and more excited. I never told my parents and siblings that

I'd be home Thursday evening, so this was gonna be a huge surprise for them. The last time I was home, was like eight months ago, for Christmas.

"Here we are miss," the taxi driver said.

"Thank you sir," I said, giving him the money and getting out.

He got my suitcase out of the trunk of the car.

"Have a wonderful weekend ma'am," he smiled.

"Thank you. You too," I smiled back.

He got back in and drive away. I took a deep breath in and made my way to the front porch.

I rang the bell.

"MAY CAN YOU GET THE DOOR?," I heard my dad call.

"OKKKAAAYYY," I heard my twelve-year-old sister call back.

I luckily caught her and hugged her tightly.

"Hello May. This is quite a welcome, but gosh, you're getting heavy," I laughed.

She did too and got off. Dad was already in the doorway.

"Hello Sweet Pea," he smiled, giving me a huge hug, and a kiss on the tip of my head.

"Hi Dad, I missed you," I said, into his shoulder.

He pulled away and looked me up and down.

"The Styles Company dad could be as proud as I am of you darling," he smiled.

"Thank you's nothing much really," I said.

"Nothing much!? My daughter grew up to be a business woman and she says it's "not much". Honey it's a lot! Mom and I never knew you'd be capable of achieving such a huge goal in life," he said.

"Thanks dad," I smiled, blushing now, "By the way...where is mom?"

"She went out shopping, since we're taking Jaz to the hospital tomorrow," May said.

"Is Jaz here?," I asked, not prepared to see her this soon.

May nodded.

"With David?," I asked, meaning her husband.

May nodded again.

"Where?," I asked, whispering.

"Upstairs in the guest room," May whispered back.

I took my gift for Jaz out of my bag, and quietly made my way upstairs.

I knocked on the guest room door.

"Come in!," I heard David say.

I peeked in.

"Hello to my most favorite big sister ever," I said.

"EMMA!!!!," Jaz exclaimed, quickly getting up, and then stumbling down, screaming.

"JAZ!," I yelled.

David quickly grabbed his phone calling 911.

"Wow...perfect timing huh?," I asked Jaz.

"I'm so happy Em," she said, holding her stomach.

I helped her up, onto the bed.

"MAY!," I yelled.

My little sister made her way upstairs as fast as lightening.

"May call mom quick and tell her the baby is coming. DO NOT mention that I am here," I said.

May nodded, wide-eyed, looked at Jaz, and quickly ran to her room getting her phone.

Dad came running into the room soon after and the three of us carried my sister downstairs. We sat her down on the couch in the living room, David, telling Jaz to 'keep breathing'.

"Jaz where's your suitcase?," I asked.

" the fucking bed," she said.

David grinned once she swore, and I hit him gently on his head, so he'd stop, and ran upstiars.

Grabbing the suitcase, I saw the ambulance entering the subdivision. Quickly I ran back down.

"The ambulance is here!," I yelled.

"Okay, Em you go with David and Jaz, while I'll take May with me in my car. We'll be right behind you," Dad said.

I nodded.

The people from the ambulance quickly came in, got Jaz on one of those rolling beds, and got her into the ambulance. David and I climbed in.

"Breath darling, just breath," David comforted her.

"Wow, five centimeters," the nurse said, checking Jaz's lower region.

"Oh my gosh....," Jaz whispered, closing her eyes, probably cuz she was having another contraction.

I took her hand in mine and she squeezed it tightly.

"You're doing great sista," I said.

She opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"I'm so thankful you're here beautiful," she said.

"Aye, stop it. You are the beautiful one here! You're giving birth! Soon I'm going to meet my nephew or niece and you're gonna be a mama," I said.

Tears slid down her face and she nodded, then she quickly shut her eyes, and squeezed my hand again.

"I'm going to need you to drive a little faster!!!," the nurse yelled to the driver.

"We're driving as fast as possible!," he yelled back.

"Oh please stay in there, until we are in the hospital," Jaz whispered.

Soon we reached the hospital, with Jaz already six centimeters stretched. They quickly rolled her into the delivery room, and I followed.

"Do you want me to stay Jaz?," I asked.

"," she breathed out.

"There's only room for two people. You can come in with us," the new nurse said.

I nodded.

"You're going to have to help though. Hold your sisters leg up," she said.

I looked at Jaz, and she laughed through her pain.

"Just liked we thought it would be huh?," I asked.

She nodded.

Some time ago, before Jaz got married, we planned what it would be like when we give birth, and we decided that she'll hold one of my legs when I'll be giving birth, and I'll hold her leg when she'll be giving birth. It was a promise.

And now the promise is becoming real.

They got Jaz on the delivery bed, and I quickly got in my place holding her leg, while she held onto mine and David's hand.

The doctor came in.

"Doctor, she's ten centimeters already," the nurse said.

"Wow...little speedy baby you got there," I said to Jaz.

She laughed lightly.

"Okay then, we are ready to push!," the doctor said.

Jaz quickly shut her eyes, and pushed.

"Good, good...breath....and push!, " the doctor said.

Jaz pushed again.

Two more pushed and the baby started crying.

"One last one, " the doctor said.

Jaz pushed again, out of breath already.

I finally got a view of my.....

"It's a girl!," I said.

Jaz started crying.

"Ma'am...I'm afraid you're going to have to push again," the doctor said.

"What!!??," Jaz yelled.

"There's one more baby!," he smiled.

"Oh my GOD!," she yelled and pushed.

"Woah, woah....easy..., " the doc said.

Jaz squeezed my hand even though she wasn't pushing. David kissed her forehead.

"Okay, now push!," he said.

Jaz pushed again.

"Come on Jaz you can do it!," I said.

Five more pushes and the baby was out.

Jaz laid there breathless, with her eyes closed.

"'s a boy!," I said.
She immediately opened her eyes, and cried tears of joy.

The nurse quickly measured them and weighed them. Soon, she carried two bundles to Jaz.

"Oh my God...they're beautiful!," Jaz cried.

David was in puddles of tears, and I have to admit so was I.

"You can put your legs down, if you'd like," the doctor said.

I helped Jaz put her legs down.

"I can't feel my legs...but who cares!," she laughed.

"Can I hold him?," David asked.

Jaz nodded and he picked up his son.

"Hey there little guy...we waited so long for you and your sister," he said.

I giggled, and looked at the baby girl.

"She's perfect Jaz," I said.

Jaz nodded.

"Take her Auntie," Jaz said.

I took the small bundle into my arms.

"Okay let's walk over to a room," the nurse said, rolling Jaz, into the room next door, which looked some-what like a hotel room.

"I'll bring the babies beds in, in a while. I'll tell your parents that they can come and see you now," she said.

Jaz nodded and the nurse left.

David gave Jaz the boy.

"Can I hold her?," he asked me.

"Of course!," I said, and gave him the girl.

"They're awfully quiet," Jaz giggled.

"Well you probably woke them up from a nap, when you saw me walk into your room and they both got mad and decided it'll be the best timing to get the frick out of your tummy," I said.

Jaz laughed.

We heard a light knock on the door.

"Come in!," I said.

"Jaz?," mom said, peeking in.

"Mom," she smiled.

Moms eyes teared up and she walked over to the bed, not even noticing me or David and the baby girl, since we were standing on the side.

"It's a boy...," Jaz said.

"He's beautiful Jazzy," mom said.

"Yeah...and there's the girl," she said pointing to David and me.

"What!!!!? EMMA!?," mom said.

We all burst out laughing.

"It's twins mom," I said.

Mom hugged me quickly and looked at the bundle in Davids arms, her eyes tearing up.

I sat down on the couch in the room and called May over, who came and sat down on my lap.

"Hello Auntie May," I said.

"I can't believe they're twins!!!!," she said.

"You should of seen Jaz's face when the doctor said to push again," I said.

Jaz laughed.

"I was SHOOOOOKKKK," she said.

"Indeed you were," I said.

"How do you give birth?," May asked.

"Uh....I'll tell you when you're a little older May," I said.

"But I want to know nowwwww," May whined.

"May hush! Or you'll wake the babies!," mom warned, holding the baby boy now.

"Dad can I ask you something?," Jaz asked.

Dad nodded walking closer to her. She whispered something and he nodded again.

"May, come with me I want to show you something," Dad said, extending his hand out.

"Okay!," she smiled and they left.

"I had to ask dad to take May out, so that I can tell you how it went mom," Jaz said.

Mom nodded, and Jaz told her the whole story, contractions and all.

I pulled my phone out to see that I had three missed calls from an unknown number again.

I frowned. Who keeps calling me?

I ignored it again, deleting it, and texted Lily what just happened.

Instead of answering my text, she called me back almost immediately.

"Excuse me," I said, walking out into the hallway.

"Hello?," I asked, picking up Lily's call.

"Em! Guess who called the office today? Well, my office," she said.

"Harry?," I asked.

"Indeed. He was curious how you are doing and how's the company. I asked him why can't he just call you and he says he's trying to but you're not answering," she said.

"Wait.....did he change his number!?," I asked.

"I don't know. Our office phones don't give us the caller ID's," Lily said.

"Oh crap. This random number has been calling me and I kept deleting it, I didn't know....I think it was him," I said.

"Do you have it still?," Lily asked.

"No. I just deleted it again. Gosh I'm so stupid!," I said.

"Don't say that, just wait and he'll probably call you again," Lily said.

"Tell Jaz congratulations from me. Can't believe there's two!," Lily exclaimed.

"Same should of seen Jaz's face when the doc said to push again," I laughed.

"Oh gosh. Remind me not to have kids in the future," she said.

"LIL! Don't say that! It was the most beautiful thing I've experienced ever!," I said.

Lily giggled quietly.

"Well I've got to go, goodbye you freak," I said.

"Bye felicia!," she said and hung up.

I really do hope she doesn't burn the Company down with her craziness. I laughed to myself and went back into the room where Jaz was.

Hopefully Harry will call me again...I miss his voice. It's been almost two weeks...

I miss him.

I just simply miss him.
