We all sat on the couch with junk food and various drinks set out on the coffee table. My favourite supernatural show was on but I couldn't really pay attention. The three of us finally stopped crying and talking and now we were able to finally wrap our heads around on what just happened. What we learned.

Still, despite having Ellie know about my secret I knew that I was still worried about her safety. How would I protect her? Would my powers allow me to protect her? I knew if worse came to worse aunt Liv would be able to. Her powers allowed her to.

Sighing I paused the show and the two looked at me. "How will I protect you?" I asked Ellie. She smiled but I knew it was filled with mixed emotions.

"I don't need protecting. You're forgetting that I am a strong independent women." She joked around, trying to have me stop worrying about her. But that was impossible. She is my one true friend who has been by my side forever now.

Aunt Liv frowned. "Rayne is right, Ellie. You don't know what you are up against. If you are in danger, no human will defeat us. Not alone that is." She told Ellie. Next she turned to me. "Tomorrow I will train you on how to fight. The basics of it. We will also test and see what your gift will be." She told me.

Already I knew that aunt Liv expects my tattoo like her twin's. With the eye and everything else. I will most likely see into the future as well. Except I know that aunt Liv doesn't fully know anything about my gift because her twin died on the day she got it.

Supposedly it was by the guy who I was dreaming of. And I don't know if this is bad or not, but I haven't had a dream about him after the wall climbing accident. Meaning I don't know if he found me or not.

A whisper of though crossed my mind. One I didn't even notice or suspect until now. In those dreams I have been told that the killer has arrived. That he was here. Meaning he just recently got into town.

One person came to mind. One who was new here and who was trying to get close to me, despite him pleading guilty. One who was also supernatural and who would have reason to kill me.

I felt my face pale and I grabbed aunt Liv's hand. "Clifford. He just moved here and those people who I have been communicating with in my dreams were saying that he is here. The killer." I took a deep breath and I saw realization cross aunt Liv's eyes. "What if Clifford is here to kill me?" I asked her.

Her body tense and her eyes hardened. Ellie reacted the same way and they both looked out to the window. Looking at the little bit of his house that was in view. "I won't let him touch you. If it is him I know how to beat him. I promise you that, Rayne." She said.

I nodded and believed her. She was willing to go to the end of the earth and back just to keep me safe. "Okay. But can we please lock all the doors and windows?" I asked. "Better safe than sorry."

Ellie agreed and we quickly made sure no one would come in easily. I felt my heart squeeze and I was wired. How could I possibly sleep tonight? So many thing will and can happen that I wasn't ready for.

Aunt Liv noticed and hugged me. "How about you two girls go upstairs. Talk and all that teenager stuff." She said. "Ellie, you can stay the night if you want." She offered.

Ellie smiled and nodded. "Totally will aunt Liv." Ellie accepted the offer and grabbed my hand. "Let's go put on make up in the dark. I bet mine will look better, but the truck is that we have to put it on each other. I know my fave too well so that's like cheating." She ranted, making me laugh.

Only Ellie could help me feel better in bad situations. Hours later we were all scrubbed clean from any make up and had our hair wrapped in s towel. We decided to take a bath with our under clothes on and relax.

"Do you think you know what your tattoo will be? Like anything linked between you and your dreams?" Ellie asked me.

I hesitated. Should I tell her that I am the only seer and that is why she was in extra danger around me? A flash of guilt buried between my bones. How could I not tell her? She was one of the only people in this world who I loved and trusted the most.

"I already know. Aunt Liv told me. She said that I was a seer. Someone who can look into the future. But she told me that I am already more powerful than her twin sister, who has the same power as me. She died on her birthday from a killer." Everything I learned so far spilled out of me.

By the time I stopped talking Ellie already was hugging me. "I am so sorry. And I'm sorry for aunt Liv. She shouldn't of had to go through that. And to think this has been kept from you all your life." She said. "I hope tomorrow will be perfect. I bet your tattoo and gift will be so out of this world that it will take away anyone's breath."

I couldn't help but smile. Hopefully that was the case as well. "Me to."

I woke up lost at breath and scared. My heart was racing and I felt a layer of sweat all over my skin. Did I just have a nightmare? It felt like it.

I tried remembering whatever it was but it wouldn't come to me. I knew it was important but it evaded me. Taking a deep breath I cleared my mind.

Then I remembered something. Nothing of the dream. But what today was. My birthday. I hoped out of bed and pulled off my shirt, looking in the mirror. A tattoo had formed over my skin.

I was amazed. It started from the top of my neck all the way down to my butt, along my spine. It was beautiful. On the top was an eye with a word below it and it was surrounded more more lettering and what looked to be a Celtic design. Down along my spine, stars and moons and Suns were dotted with more words. At the very bottom was a skeletal hand holding what looked to be another eye.

"It's so beautiful." Aunt Liv whispered. I jumped in surprise and looked at the door. She was behind me and already dressed for today. Her hair was in a high pony tail and I knew she meant business.

I smiled and her and hugged her. "It so totally is. But it's different than what you told me about your twin's tattoo." I said.

"I know. You must be more powerful. But happy birthday Rayne. I can't believe how old you are already." She said and hugged me tighter. I laughed and Ellie moaned.

In the next second she shot ip from bed and looked at me. "Your tattoo!" She loudly spoke. I turned around and showed her. The sound of the Beas creaking told me she got out of bed and I felt her hand tough my skin. "Wow... This is beautiful. There isn't any scratches or anything either. Like you had this forever now." She said.

"I know." I agreed. I pulled on my shirt again and looked at them. "Let's go make breakfast. I'm starved." I said and looked back into the mirror.

Except something seemed different. Off. I blinked and looked around. Ellie was back in bed sleeping and I just pulled off my shirt, it fell to the ground and landed beside my feet.

What happened? Confused I looked at the door and seen aunt Liv. "It's so beautiful." She whispered. Her hair was in a high pony tail and she was already dressed, everything about her screamed business.

"It so totally is." I agreed with her. It popped out of my mouth before I could stop myself.

This already happened. In the next few seconds everything I just went through happened again. Once we were all out the door I stopped. "That is creepy. I saw that happen before I actually did. I basically relived it." I blurted out.

Aunt Liv stopped and Ellie bumped into her. "Really?" She asked. I nodded and touched my neck. It pulsed to my heart rate but seemed alive. As if... Magical. "Wow. You are more advanced that I thought." She told me.

"Can you tell what I am about to say after this?" Ellie asked. She raised an eyebrow but thing happened. Slowly I shook my head. "Aw, that sucks. I was going to say we should have chocolate chip pancakes. Oh well, let's have chocolate chip pancakes." She said.

I waited a second, then two. I wanted to see if this was another prediction. But nope. It wasn't at all. Already I knew this was going to be tricky and annoying. Hopefully I could control the vision so I don't get confused or anything.

"Are you going to school today?" I asked Ellie.

"I'm sorry but yes. As much as I want to spend the whole day with you, I need to catch up on everything I missed. But after school we are so totally hanging out and celebrating your birthday!" She squealed. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAYNE!" She yelled and hugged me, picking me up and spinning around.

"Thank you. Now let's go make some of those pancakes. I think my stomach will agree to that." I laughed.
