The eight of them took two cabs to the Crown Plaza Hotel where the girls were staying.

“Who are the Food consumers society anyway asked Abby?’

“I don’t really know said Barry I was reading an article in the Times Newspaper on the plane and Keith Floyd the chef happened to mention them.’

“I will certainly drop that one in the next time we are out for a meal.’

“What when you return a pan of Scouse laughed the girls.’

Hey you lot there’s nothing wrong with a good pan of Scouse.’

“You’re not wrong there girl said the driver who was from Liverpool as well.’

“What part of Liverpool you from?’

“Moorgate Road.’

Just down the road from me, do you know Joey Wainwright he’s my dad.’

“Know nobody better, I used to drink in the Carters Arms with your dad when were worked in the docks together.’ Tell him you were talkin’ to George Dunn.’

“Small world isn’t it.’

“You’re telling me girl.’

The driver dropped them at the hotel and they all went up in the lift to the room that the four of them shared.

“It wasn’t long before the four couples ended up in bed together.

Darren ordered himself a large whiskey as he sat in the first class compartment on the plane whilst Tanya sat in the economy seats. She wondered why he had done this to her the first time that they flew together but Darren explained to her if ever he was arrested then she would not be implicated. He gave her the number his solicitor Jonathan Hartington from Croutes. She was to ring him in the event of anything happening to him.’

There was a fair bit of turbulence as the plane crossed the English Channel. The captain informed them that the temperature was 69% in Newcastle which wasn’t bad for August at nine o’clock in the morning.’ They would reach their destination at one o’clock.

The plane shuttered again and Tanya hung on for dear life. She hadn’t realised that she’d grabbed a man’s hair in front of her and she had to apologise once it had ceased.’

Darren tilted his seat and closed his eyes. He had been kept awake by Tanya all night making love and he was exhausted. It didn’t take long for him to nod off. Harry Buck and Melvyn Gunn got some shut eye too as they knew that they had their work cut out once the plane had landed.’

“Not even the vibrations could stir Darren as he snored away.

Rob Black had his men in plain clothes circulate around Newcastle Airport. They knew Ingles was on the fight coming in and he left nothing to chance.’

“Fifteen minutes Gov’.’

“Make sure every one is in position. I will get the ordinary passengers off first then when the first class come in we will swoop and arrest him. We will take him straight down to the nick on Forth Banks where we can question him before his brief gets there.

Don’t allow any press men near him understand?
