47. Late Packing

*A Couple Week Later*

“Jackass,” I groan as I walk into Ashton’s room.

We leave for America late tonight and he’s asleep with half a suitcase packed. I’ve had my suitcase and backpack packed since yesterday.

“Ashton! We leave in five hours and you aren’t packed!”

“Hm?” Ashton sits up and looks around. “What?” He rubs his eyes with his fists.

“You’re napping and we have a plane to catch in five hours. I know you went to work today, and I went to school. But you need to pack. I am not missing the plane to my family because of you.”

Ashton slides out of bed and walks over to me, “I’m sorry lovely. I’ve just been so tired lately.” He gives me a kiss and puts a loose strand of hair behind my ear. “I won’t make us late, I promise. You know I keep my promises. How about you help me pack then?”

I smile, “Alright, sure.” I lean up and give him a kiss. “You’re such a jackass,” I shake my head and walk away from him, heading into his closet. “What do you need?”

“Some more shirts, a couple shorts, my swimming trunks, I guess a couple of hats. If you see anything you want me to bring, then just bring it out.”

I take a good look around and examine everything he has. When I find something I like, I grab it and throw it out to Ashton for him to pack.

“Do you need any shoes?” I ask as I pick up a pair of tennis shoes and some dress shoes.

“Yeah, bring out whatever you’ve found,” Ashton answers.

I walk out of his closet and see he actually has everything packed, and he’s even has a backpack that he is filling up. “Filling up a backpack, I’m so proud of you.” I walk over to him and place his shoes on the top of all his clothes in his suitcase. Then I push onto my toes and kiss his cheek. “Have an epiphany, jackass? Realize that you need to hurry up so we don’t miss our flight?”

“Sure, sure, I guess. I just wanted to make you happy,” he looks down at me and smiles. “And when you’re happy, I can get kisses.”

I giggle, “You can get a kiss when all the packing is done. Do you have all your toiletries pack and such?”

“I actually do,” he turns to zip up his backpack. “So, I think that means all my stuff is packed, and all your stuff is packed. Which means, I think I get a kiss,” he smiles and looks back at me.

“Actually, I’m kind of hungry. We should get something before we head to the airport,” I go to turn away but Ashton grabs my wrist.

“Oh, no, no, lovely. You aren’t walking away from me. We have some time before we have to leave, so we can wait a little bit before we eat.” He turns me back around and gently caresses my face with his free hand. “I think you know I always get what I want, Rose. So, I’m going to get that kiss.”

“I guess I can’t reject that. Kiss me, jackass, and then we will go make something to eat.”

He connects our lips and my hand go up into his hair. “Do you think we could have some fun before we go?”

I push away from him and sigh, “Well, we won’t be able to make love while we visit my family. There’s just no way.”

“Then we have to right now.”

“I don’t think we have to,” I bring my hands out of his hair and poke his chest. “Our relationship isn’t based on that, Ashton. How about we don’t do it right now and go make something to eat.”

He smiles and kiss my nose, “I guess I just got caught up in the moment. As long as we can sleep together, I’ll be fine.”

I smile back, “Good. Now come on, let’s take our luggage to the front door and then get something to eat.”

He kisses my nose again. “Sounds like a great plan, lovely.”

The two of us separate and I head to my room, grabbing my luggage and heading to the front door.

I meet back up with Ashton in the kitchen who looks like he is ready to make a five course meal. “Babe, we only need a little something to eat,” I chuckle. “And, we aren’t going to be home for a while, so we can’t have leftovers.”

“I just thought you liked me in my apron and stuff,” Ashton pouts. “Don’t I look hot?”

“You are always looking good,” I shake my head. “What are we making today?”

“You aren’t making anything,” he steps over to me and places his hands on my waist. “You are going to sit on the counter and look cute,” he picks me up and places me on the counter.

I giggle, “Have I told you lately that you’re a dork?”

“Possibly,” he gives me a quick kiss. “Can you sit there for me and look cute? Can you do that?”

“You sound so condescending,” I slap his arm. “Yes, I can sit here and be cute.”

He winks before walking away, “I’m just trying to figure out the best way to get you to listen to me.”

I roll my eyes, “Oh just shut up and cook.”

Ugh, I want to travel around the world so bad. What's a place you really want to go to someday? I'd love to go to Germany. :D
