Cold as ice itself, and pale as the snow itself, Michael Clifford is not the type of 6ft boy you should be messing with, unless it's a death with you are asking for.

But when someone crosses his path, his entire life turns all the way around, and maybe he might just show his soft spots.

40. Dinner

"Can my friend come to this dinner?" I ask my parents.

"What's her name?" My mom asks.

"It's a boy and his name is Ashton, he's quite chivalrous," I reply.

"We'll think about it honey," my dad says.

"Aw please, I'll do anything!" I plead.

My parents exchange a glance and my mom blurts out,

"It's fine."

*Ashton* Are you sure this is going to work?

*Me* Today they seem pretty flexible so maybe

*Ashton* Okay, I'll see you in a couple minutes

The doorbell rings and I rush to the door yelling,

"I got it!"

I open the door and see Ashton dressed in black skinny jeans, a band tee, and a jacket.

"I'm surprised the jeans don't have holes in them," I say as I take in his appearance.

"I had to look decent," he said rolling his eyes.

"C'mon, just one last step."

"Mom, Dad, this is Ashton," I say.

"Nice to meet you, Ashton," my parents say shaking his hand.

"Make conversation before the plan," I whisper into his ear.

My parents can't stop laughing and Ashton's jokes and stories, he's really making an impression.

I slightly nudge his leg as a signal to tell them about the tour.

"If you don't know, Adelaide is our band manager which is a very high paying job. She managed to get us to tour around the world with One Direction as their opener. In order to keep this position, she has to travel with us in the summer," Ashton says.

My chest doesn't feel heavy anymore, it's like a weight has been lifted.

I take in a deep breath and expect the worst news ever.

A long time,

without Michael.

I can't even imagine how that would feel.

"But she's grounded, she can't go."

"I'm, me, myself, is still getting grounded for ending my life?!" I exclaim.

"Yes, you are."

"This is fucking unacceptable. Normal parents would send me to the psychiatrist to FIX my problem."

I storm up to my room and I hear Ashton following behind me.

"Adelaide, I agree, it's stupid," Ashton says closing my door.

"I can't even fathom how that's good parenting," I mumble.

Ashton sits next to me and allows me to snuggle up close to him.

I cry into his shoulder and hope that my parents will actually realize how fucking stupid this is.

"Worst case scenario, I sneak out."
