A Large Amount of Gratitude (3 Good Things)

So I’d like to share a ever growing list of fundamental things that I feel grateful for. I usually only reflect on one or a few of these things when I need to but I thought a list like this one could be helpful both for you and for me. And maybe not every item on this list works in your life, then take what works from here and create and add to put together your own list.


31. The Thirty-First Day

This may seem a tad generic but they are true anyway:

91. Oceans.

I’ve had this strange sense of smelling the sea even when I’m nowhere near it which is strange. The smell of the ocean is always associated with some of my fondest memories of making sandcastles, getting ice cream of fish and chips and generally being happy whether in the water, on the sand or on a pier. Plus, the sea creatures among those waters seem just too mystical to be real which brings to mind the complexities and wonders of the planet we live on.


92. Motivational websites.

Some sites such as lifehack or Buzzfeed can contain really encouraging articles that are enough to get me up and going during any time of the day. Reading one entitled “15 signs you’re actually doing better than you think you are” really helped me because it told me the things that I think I needed to hear in order to become less stressed and smile more. Smiling more just makes the day more enjoyable and smiling is infectious as they say. You never know what people have got to deal with every day so a lift in spirits is always worth it.


93. For sunsets because they bring out the true beauty of the day and teaches that although a day is ending, it is not the true end to the story. There will always be another day to do things, another beginning.
